nah atlest he tried his best unlike others and is playing himself into better form this last two games. I am confident if he has consistent playtime he will get to his best.
The was better than a few of the others. He was taking the ball on the half turn, like he did a couple of seasons back, and attacking their defence more but he is still far off what he was early season.

I'm sure you're correct that more games would improve form and that is true for others, but a couple of points (true to others too)

We need them to be finding form on the training ground as we can ill afford more performances like last night.
Also, he gave up after losing the ball a couple of times last night, that isn't form but attitude (and he wasn't alone in that also)

The guy is developing a bad attitude, staring to think he is the man and hence why he has hardly featured in the last 3 months.

Needs to get his head out of his arse and and concentrate on his football, leave the haircuts and bling to the idiots.

Still playing it very safe but I do think the derby will bring the best out of him, when he's playing well his movent is his main weapon.
I don't think Pep will pick him for the Derby as he has played the last two games. Don't forget Pep said he has some ideas for the game. More control on the way.

You could say that about a few players, all attacking instincts gone in the name of keeping the ball.
Where has the freeflowing football gone? Pep says he wants more control but we have let in more goals than when we used to defend in the opposition half.

I think he will play against the rags with a rollicking in his ear from Pep, if Foden is not fired up for a game against them we do have problems with him.

i do find it odd how since the last derby i dont think phil has played on the right? our best front line performance this season has been phil grealish haaland. i do feel like this season the right has been the best side for him performace wise

In some spells he briefly played on the right usually when subs came on etc. But yes derby was the last time he started on the right.

His best performance this season then has come on the right. I just think our overall best team performances this season have come with Bernie and keV in midfield with front line of foden haaland grealish.

This is it. He was in great form and great rhythm early in the season. ~850 minutes from 900 minutes of Prem football with 6 goals and 3 assists.

Then out of nowhere Pep stopped playing him and City’s form and performances became worse, slower and more boring… coincidence?!

Now he’s out of form and has no rhythm, although he’s still scored more than Grealish during this poor run of form, and people wonder why he’s not playing well.

I think that something happened around the time between away games in Copenhagen and Liverpool.

-- Quote from Pep's post match interview after 0-0 draw with Copenhagen--
Pep Guardiola: "Many players didn't start because they were exhausted, tired, fatigued, niggles. Erling [Haaland] didn't feel really good after Southampton, Phil [Foden] had some disturbing problems, Bernardo [Silva] told us yesterday he was so tired."

----

Afterwards Foden played Liverpool game. Then his minutes are reduced from playing almost all the games at the beginning of the season to rotating with the others. Pep's words implies that Foden carries some discomfort. Maybe an injury. Maybe he overplays at the beginning of the season.

Agree. It is a very good combination. Grealish and Bernado are good ball carriers. They create overloads on the left side. Then Kev and Foden explore the space on the right with Foden sometimes joins in the box to form a double striker with Halaand - much better value than hugging the touchline on the left with only crossing to be the option...

Did his missus kick him in the balls or something??

I'm sure if that were me, I'd be out of form and walking funny for a while after that due to "disturbing problems".

Okay okay I am kidding, but that does sound funny!

And I didn't think I was gonna read anything more funny than hippo vs crocodile today.
