Not going to overreact and declare him shite. But he’s woeful right now and we don’t have the luxury to play him back into form. Needs dropping.
How is pointing out the clear and obvious, exaggerating?Yea he was rubbish on the left in all of those league wins and matches we dominated. He’s been very good on the left and as a false 9, contributing hugely to us winning the league.
He can play in a number of positions and play excellent. Good players can play in a number of positions. He’s lost his confidence and isn’t playing well at the minute.
Too much exaggeration in here
Saddens me but have to agree with this. Wouldn’t be surprised if he’s moved on to create funds for new playersHow is pointing out the clear and obvious, exaggerating?
Yes he contributed a fair bit last season, but he's been nothing short of terrible this season, apart from the odd glimpse
He's a blue, and has just been brought off after 55 minutes after failing to get remotely involved in the game, and even have a go at Uniteds 2nd choice full back
He just isn't that good, and never will be. No where near on the trajectory of becoming one of the best in Europe, which most of us thought was possible 2 seasons ago
Yes, his form is off.Something is off,and its worrying.
Seems a strange question.....but is he popular in the dressing room? because going off today,Cancelo is definitely not a fan.
He looked like he was developing into the second best left forward in the world in the last two years up to about October. He’s just out of form.Something is wrong at the Club . He looks totally pissed off playing in a position he's unsuited to week in week out.
He is young, but has played over 100 games in the league, CL and internationally, he should be more experienced than most 22 year oldsYes, his form is off.
He’s 22, young players are more inconsistent. He’s 4 years away from his prime yet.
I actually thought this was the season where he really needed to cement himself as a top player because we’ve seen flashes of it and many people expected him to be world-class, but that requires consistency.
He seems to have gone backwards this season if anything
It’s not like he’s a young kid anymore, by the end of next season he’ll be pretty much mid 20s. You have to be really establishing yourself by that age.
I don’t think playing out on the left is really helping him, but he’s put in good performances before from there, so it can’t be one of the main excuses.
It’s like his confidence is a bit shot and he’s hiding in games. Grealish isn’t probably naturally left-wing either, but when he came on today, he was able to take up good positions to get the ball. There’s no reason Foden couldn’t do that instead of being anonymous.
Cancelo’s best friend could be playing LW and he’d still never pass him the ball because it would mean using his left foot instead of coming inside and dawdling for a bit.
