I think Kane is a great example of how more players are going to run down contracts and insist on release clauses in contracts. He should be a city player, i much prefer having Haaland here though.

Not for us now I think, especially given that they'll be a summer scramble for him, but I do wonder if pep's next reincarnation of city could be back to two strikers, or even three.

Kane is able to drop back and do that de bruyne thing of picking a pass. Normally that means a wide cross field ball to a fast runner. But if you've got one or both of Haaland and Alvarez still ahead of Kane, with a defender already having come out to close Kane down.... Hmmm.. I could see it....

Personally cant blame Kane for running down his contract. Spurs had a chance to cash in on Kane and make shed loads. But the chairman was greedy, now he can walk for free, good business my the chairman lol

do not want him here. Haaland may not be the perfect pep player but he is a better player for city than kane. he gives us that versatility, mentality and edge that kane does not have.

kane is no city player.all great clubs like real, barcelona and city always need a killer forward to win great things. kane is the biggest bottler there is. he might be a better pep player but for the club as a whole Haaland is better in the long run.

I think the Kane ship has sailed as far as we are concerned.

You can think it all you like, it doesn't make it true. Kane doesn't need other players at all. If he did then he certainly wouldn't be able to rely on his team-mates at Tottenham season after season. He's their goal-scorer and creator.

Agreed.

Aguero is my absolute favorite striker of his era but would he have scored as many goals as Kane has over the years in these average to just-above-average Spurs teams? I think not.
