Not sure about gundo. Not sure what he offers. Missed a sitter. Didn’t thread any passes to haaland unlike kdb and didn’t help rodri in the middle. His passing is neat and tidy but it’s mostly backwards and slow. That’s why we don’t create much. How many assists and goals has he got this season?

What stands out for me is…

The refusal to pass forward into space when it’s clearly on. The amount of times the team go back instead of playing a forward ball that’s on is scary.

Haaland would have already been on 40+ goal this year if the team just went forward when it’s clearly on. I understand being patient and going backwards if nothing is on but good god I’m tired of seeing players turn back when going for the kill is on.

Slightly better today but I agree. The amount of time we turn back when we are in transition is ridiculous.

Enjoyable relaxed day at the Etihad . Ref was bizarre early first half wtf ? . Didn’t get the idea of playing Rico in midfield but hey ho he is a top player albeit a defender. Would have been perfect for Foden today but rumours in the stadium today suggest there has been a big fallout and a family situation ? Who knows but it’s a strange one for sure !
Haaland is going to break every record going this season. Mahrez is in peak form and Eddy had fuck all to do .

Ake has made the left-back role his own for now.

When he plays aggressive, it really makes a difference to both his and our game.

Another decent improvement from Jack and Stones continues to look imperious this season.

I feel for Gundo, you can see today his mind is as quick as ever but his legs don't seem to be responding to the signals from his brain, which is a shame?

It's an area we can improve and hopefully Gundo will be happy to be a squad player, if that's the case.

Decent game from Akanji and much more like it from Kev.

Thought the press was outstanding at times today, players were knackered but kept on

My wife has now been to 3 games this year & 3 hatricks from Haaland :)

Thought Pep kept Rodri on to long today & Mahrez but who am I to criticise

Back 5 today much better & Ake is just playing with confidence

Dias will struggle to get games imo, Akanji & now Jonny Stones are definitely No 1 choice

Next few weeks will see what's happening

I can honestly see Arteta giving up the FA Cup next week meaning resting lots of his squad ready for the League match

Mahrez & Jack going to take some moving right now can only see Phill benched untill his head gets sorted

what I like today was the clean sheet with another makeshift back 4, even played 4 centre backs again in the 2nd half,
I think if we conceded, pep would have blown his top again, hahahaha,

one big thing happen today and KDB turned up, I think lewis took a knock and could not step inside Mahrez to take the ball off him, so KDB slots in and that one pass to Haaland GAME over,

He had put in several overhit crosses from the same spot, but Kev takes his position once and bang. Pinpoint accuracy.

I don't know of anyone who's indicated this, nor have I read anything to the effect that any City fans don't want Jack to do well. Takes most players a while to settle, except the Norwegian monster. He's doing just fine presently and can hopefully improve as we crank up the gears in the 2nd half of the season.
Easy day at the office today. Makes a nice change.
