PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

When this has all played out one thing for sure is our relationship with the prem will have to be vastly different going forward, assuming the prem survives in the form it is now. I understand that we probably don't want to change the prem to much as it is a multi million dollar business for us , but the otherside of me wants the prem shown as the corrupt entity it is, and utterly razed to the ground in a scorched earth policy, and hopefully something with a more sporting ethos replace it. But unfortunately money and greed will be the basis for any new football direction in this country .

Yet, City have recently sucked up to LFC.(email, announcement)

As this unfolds, that fact that we’ve done that is more and more insane.

Who at City authorised it?

I think it was perfect. They let the league know they’re cunts for not telling City they were releasing charges. They said they have irrefutable evidence to counter their charges. Lastly, they quite bluntly say they’re looking forward to putting all this bollocks to bed.

What more do you want?

I rekon if we get found guilty I think the super league will rear its head again and this time I'd probably back it, its amazing that they're charging us for financial breaches there just out to get us and the premier league are so corrupt

They all are, it's how they survive pander to the masses or you go bankrupt.
All they are doing is regurgitating the same rubbish that they threw at us 3 years ago.
It failed then and they will fail now and unless we put it to bed once and for all they will come again and again.
We should have stopped it,the first time it happened and not took the softly softly approach.
 
Having now had a couple of days to assess the effect of the PL charges against the club I feel that the powers that be should come out all barrels blazing sooner than later. I know it is not our style and that we usually stand behind the wall and then gradually take out the bricks one by one to achieve our goal ( no pun intended ).
However this is not UEFA where at a maximum we would have been excluded for two years from all European competitions. This is on home turf, in our own country and involves the best and most watched league in world football. The PL accusations affect the entire City Group including youth teams, women's teams and all other ventures. Mud sticks and the sooner we can peel it off the better.
C'mon City lets have a little more impact than the usual bland and cautious statements. This is a war we need to win sooner than later.

Can I add a question. As football is also a business we have to obey the rules of the country we live in. Despite the fact that we signed up to the rules of the league we still have our rights to run our business to achieve the best results without being restricted by our competitors. So I believe that we have the nuclear option of challenging this in the courts because of it's anti competitive nature. Is this reasonable?
 
This case will likely drag on and on. The media will continue to stoke the fires of speculation.
How far will that affect player / manager concentration and confidence?
Will it encourage key players to want away?
Or can the club switch this attack and use to our advantage?

But the ESL would be pushed and run by the same set of ****-clubs trying to destroy us here. So I do not think it would be better.
 
If any of this ends up in court for any reason, good luck finding an impartial jury and the glee with which the 'meeja' have jumped on this is as depressing as it is predictable.

I am pretty sure there will be a guilty verdict on some minor charges, given the appetite to punish us, but you have to say the last ten years has given us the best football money can buy (wherever it came from).
