On the HMRC thing, they wouldn’t touch this with a barge pole, they don’t have the resource and to prove historic tax evasion on illegal payments would be pissing in the wind for little reward. Just ask the former chancellor for details. This isn’t about “illegal “ activity, it’s about allegations of rule breaking, rules that have been applied inconsistently and by vested interests and retrospectively.

there is also a very large malicious intent slant. In a way I hope it goes to court and everything is dragged into the glare of sunlight, all the sneaky shit being pulled by the cartel. I would also like the club to sue for damages. I can hope !

They will come under political and press pressure to get involved and if stuff ends up in open court that could be seen as criminal the PL will be in trouble for not reporting.

They will also have to prove that all other clubs have been investigated to the same degree, we will want to see evidence that we are being treated fairly and that other clubs have not been doing the same thing as us.

If it goes to the High Court, they are very keen on allegations of unequal treatment. The PL are playing with fire.

Whether we are found guilty or not, this may be disastrous. How will it affect player focus and performance when we need it most? How will it affect our summer transfer window, with target signings wanting to stay away until this matter is finalised? How will the club react if not found guilty of the charges?
