PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Thanks! Sorta felt like I actually got Neville to defend City when I called him and Carragher out on not liking City, so Neville felt an urge to appear impartial for once ha.
Hi. Just wanted to say how brilliantly I thought you handled that show. I said on another feed that it was a right old bearpit. You stayed calm / many wouldn’t have been able to - made your points articulately and I think made people think. And you really drew Neville out into actually supporting City. So well done you!

Does anyone know what the most damming evidence is ?
My understanding is the whole things underpinned by the Rui Pinto hacked e mails , firstly Rui Pinto is about to face trial for extortion , secondly , of the e mails I've personally seen none are conclusive in my opinion ..and surely the ones that have been made public are the worst , ie : the smoking gun , end of the day an email isn't proof that a offence has been committed , it may prove intent , but surely bank transfers , invoices etc would be the level of proof necessary to bring charges as serious and consequential as these.. CAS didn't see UEFA had enough so why would an independent commission ?
The Mancini allegations , being paid as a consultant or what ever by an Abu Dhabi football club , over a decade ago if proven its hardly world changing , very much doubt it's an offence worthy of stripping titles , relegation etc ..
same with the Yaya Toure allegations , and his agent has come out and said it's not true anyway ..
When the so called experts talk about the time barred stuff they always neglect to point out what CAS said about it, which was ...they found nothing to indicate anything before the time bar that would be any more damming than the evidence after and questioned UEFAs motives for including stuff their own rules forbid CAS from passing judgement on.
I think we all know the motives for including the time barred stuff , they knew CAS wouldn't look at it , but that gave them the get out of jail free card they needed , so people like Simon Jordan can claim City got away on a technicality rather than the facts , which were that CAS laughed the charges out of court and admonished UEFA for bringing such a weak case..
I don’t know the detail of the Mancini contract but I believe he was contracted to Mansour’s club before he was employed by us. Unless we took part in later negotiations concerning it remaining in place, privity of contract applies and his remuneration from the sheik is nothing to do with us.. There was no rule against having another job.

GN knows deep down that it’s not money alone that makes success , it’s why he’s gone quiet now ETH is improving his club on the pitch , even that sorry fucking club are under FFP

I love the idea that Mancini shouldn’t earn x amount for consultancy work when, here at home this happens.

Boris Johnson has registered an advance payment of nearly £2.5m for speaking events, in his latest declaration of outside earnings.
It brings the former prime minister's declared income since leaving office last September to almost £4.8m.
He has previously recorded nearly £1.8m in speaking fees since his departure.
I find the whole Mancini element odd, if Al Jazira FC say he was acting as a part-time consultant for them how are the PL going to disprove that? He could consult over his laptop, he didn't need to be physically there.

Did I also hear that right on the overlap? The bellend arsenal fan linking this to match fixing and financial doping to the fact we took Adebayor, nasri and toure off them? Fuck me the way a couple of those turned out and the money we paid at the time they should be thanking us!
Plus they were more than happy to off load unwanted goods, take the money. Now whining about it. Dicks. We’ve had to put up with the joy of them being 0-4 up at half time at our place when it was all very happy days for them us being “11th”.

Just been forwarded a video of them wankers at the swamp singing ‘City’s going down with a billion in the bank’

They are going to be so so so disappointed and the tears will be beautiful.
FFS, trying to avoid shit like this ideally, that’s why I come on here instead of watching that lot play or trawling through social media.

All the rediculous uniformed tripe is getting rolled out by the FFP experts in my circle. My favourite is people who tell me we only got away with it at CAS because it was time barred and therefore we are certainly guilty with the PL. Usually at that point its time to walk away but this week i've been grumpy as fuck and in my error tried to educate people.

Fact is they don't want to listen and generally have no interest if City are innocent or not, they will always just brand us as cheats and quote fat mick from salfords twitter page as proof we did it. Maybe thats what the PL are going after all along, tarnish our reputation regardless of the outcome.
Pretty much my experience this morning.
I was told that nothing will happen to us, we’ll buy our way out of it like we did with UEFA.
Go figure?
Who the hell could we pay off?
United supporters baiting me, but have no interest in the reality. You can’t debate with them.

Pretty much how I expect City will be treated with the Independent? investigation.

Here. Source - BBC news.

"Rangers will not play in the Scottish Premier League this season.

SPL chairmen met at Hampden to vote on the new club's application to replace the old Rangers in the top flight.
BBC Scotland has learned that 10 of the 12 clubs were in opposition, with Kilmarnock abstaining and Rangers voting in favour.
The re-formed Ibrox club will now apply to play in the Scottish Football League but it is not clear which division they will enter."

You're going on block now, purely because you can't stop yourself from chatting shit even on a thread such as this. I'd recommend you stop dragging City's name into a situation which is absolutely nothing like the same. You know what happened, don't pull the wool over everyone else's eyes. Enjoy your night.
You denied that a vote ever took place to expel Rangers from the Scottish premier league.
The reason I mentioned the Rangers situation was because another poster brought it up as he/she was worried something similar In punishment might happen to City. I was only explaining that City are in a far better position to defend themselves, but of course, in your blind hatred of Rangers, you stampede into the thread foaming at the mouth shouting all sorts of drivel.

I was thinking that myself. What triggered the Premier League to investigate us after we won at C A S . It must have been a complaint from other clubs. If the Premier League rules state all clubs have to comply with F.F.P. then why haven't all the clubs that have breached F.F.P. been investigated as they have clearly breached the Premier League rules. There are more than the Scouse gits. These clubs were found guilty and no action was taken as they weren't in European competition at that time.
City should make a formal complaint and demand these clubs be charged for breaking the same rules as they allege we have. Let them get out of that one.

It’s all to do with why cas threw it out so early! Time barred! So after the all we have heard from the media that we got of because it was time barred, when in fact City wanted to show then we were fine but we wasn’t allowed too!

So if the worst came to the worst and we got our titles taken off us, would it be the ones between 2009 and 2018 or all of them?
All of them, unless we come up with the receipts for Joe Mercer's slippers. This forensic shit goes real deep. Find them and I'm confident we'll get to keep the '68.

What I take from that video is that Carragher is even thicker than I thought he was.
What I take from that is carragher spits on young girls and GNiac

Should be singing "united a goal down with a minute on the clock" instead me thinks.

Daft cunts.

Should start singing on Sunday, "Edwards poisoned kids, scousers killed people too but City are the criminals, we see what you do!"

I don’t think they’ll strip our titles. How can they. It will kick off a massive shitstorm.

However we may have to accept an asterisk * next to the title wins if we get found guilty. I could probably live with that as we’d still officially be champions.
Think you're the one that should have an asterisk.

So if the club did not give the premier league what they gave CAS, you have to wonder why not? We seem to be playing a dangerous game. On one hand, we did not want to give over documents to be leaked and for our competition to get an insight into our business. Which is understandable and on the other hand by not giving the premier league what they want we knew it would lead to another independent review. The breakdown in our relationship with the premiership is staggering. So we must know how this is going to play out just like CAS. We have the proof but witheld it until the private review takes place.

What is City’s play in all this? Forget the cheating angle for a second. Seems we are playing a long game here, almost an ambush if you will to change what exactly?

Either we have balls of steel or we already know what the outcome of this Independent review will be. Very devious if it works and based on CAS why should it not. The trap is set.

The new regulator could start by banning people with no money buying clubs using leveraged debt. The Glazers have run United as a pure personal cash cow for years but have hardly paid any of the debt back. That is not organic growth no matter how much their fans bleat about it.
Yes indeed. There's a lot NEEDS doing but the regulator will have to have integrity and a concern for football which goes way beyond a concern for football finance. What worries me is that we have a government which sees everything as a public finance problem which has to be solved by "balancing the books". This is the equivalent of UEFA's beloved break even rule and so I find them a bit too much "American" for my liking.
