PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

can only remember one of mine and he was a bloody Aussie. Have a vague recollection of him throwing the blackboard cleaning thing at me. Either that or a box of chalk

I had George Myers too. Think he passed about a decade ago. Don't recall ever getting the violent treatment you did - mostly I just remember him tediously reading aloud every poem ever written by Phillip Laaaaahkin.

Yep, agree with this (apart from the independent regulator bit). The PL have put themselves in a terrible spot by opening an investigation too quickly after the UEFA case broke. Now they are stuck with how to get out of it.

Politically, they can't now drop the case, especially after the press have whipped up the idea of fraud and misleading auditors, which I don't think is the PL charge at all btw. But if they let the case run, they are likely to suffer the same fate as UEFA.

They should have waited until CAS was finished, accepted the results on those issues, then decided if any of the time-barred issues, or any other issues such as, for example, how we accounted for shared services, image rights and so on, warranted a further investigation according to PL rules.

Shame.
Just a quick one, think I read they’ve given us two weeks to answer the charges etc, would that be an early get out for the PL ?

They are pandering to their masters, instead of having a backbone.

Be good to have a blue enforced check point Charlie outside the journos entrance. Collectively we’ve been a bit apathetic as a fan base, spoiled by success a bit. Feels like there’s a real ground swell that this could galvanise all of us and bring that fire back. Turn the Etihad into a hostile bear pit for the remainder of the season.

The 9 clubs that sent the letter to CAS have nothing to complain about.
Correct.
Just like any typical bullies, they can gang up and give it out but going crying to anyone who will listen when they get a bit back.
Same with the back stabbing journalists hiding behind their keyboards.
Reddy's ranting reaction after Pep called her out (although admittedly I didn't see it as I refuse to watch Sly) summed it up
Fuck the lot of them.

Thing is sky are happy with her reporting we know the angle that corporation wants just like the bbc and majority of the media! We will never get fair crack while sky bbc the media have are run by the red shirt clubs!
You are correct of course, Sky like the majority of the media are part of our problem so employ people who present that bias under the guise of fair reporting.

Do we really expect anything else.
Even our owners have seemingly permitted Pep to give them all at least one of both barrels at his presser.

It also contradicts their other tweet that several Prem executives are offended by the accusation they pressured the League in to charging us.

So which is it?

Happy to shake hands as not complicit, or offended because we shook hands?
They're desperate as fuck, that's what it is.

All too full of their own and their clubs self-importantance to see how we were moving and shaking until it was too late. Then instead of embracing the challenge (as they're all football men?) They brought various shitty rules in which we just keep swatting away

After the hornets nest has been awakened? it's not likely is it, would be the biggest climb down in history

Sounds like he was shaking hands with the execs from the non-Hateful Eight [9] clubs & ignored the others.

He's making a statement that it's hostilities & war with the main red shirt protagonists.

Good on Ferran. Let em know cordial relations are over & we ain't fuckin about with them any longer. Shit's just got serious, & about time too!! \0/
Got a vision of him shaking the 'good' CEO's hands while giving the finger to a hateful 8/9 member in the style of Richie Rich.
