So fucking good it’s a joke , he as had 2 bad performances all season ( am not talking about spurs ) apart from that he as been are best player by distance week in , week out .

Felt like he was a bit more unlocked today, with having Dias & Laporte behind him. Build up was better and he was more confident to push up the field
Having experienced midfielders in midfield helped, and not having full backs in there instead. My only worry is that this isn’t how we’re going to play most weeks and we’ll still see Lewis or Walker playing in midfield on Wednesday. This is what happens when we play players that suit building up from the back. It’s harsh on some players, particularly Ake, but despite him playing as good as he can possibly play, we’re still a better team without him.

Yeah I agree, Bernardo in particular helped by playing everywhere. Those factors combined to increase the amount of triangle/3rd man passes - particularly on the right hand side.

I agree with the worry about the inverted fullback as well - although I would say that Pep didn't think it was effective against man marking (as Arsenal did), so it may not be used on Weds. Long-term, people saying we don't need to sign a fullback because of Aké/Rico really don't pay enough attention to the build-up.

I reckon he was that pissed off with himself after Spurs that he was dreaming of that Villa game all week. He was probably that up for to make amends for last week, he’d have ripped the net with his penalty.

Maybe, but it was an unprofessional scene we can do without.

A penalty taker should be chosen before the game and that decision stays final.

it wasnt just him though mahrez took the pen and pep confirmed afterwards that erling was our pen taker.

I didnt say it was just him,i said the scene was unprofessional.

Mahrez was bound to be involved as looking after number 1 is his MO.Haaland deserves credit for being the most mature about the situation.
