Indeed it wasn’t. But I’m not being told Forrest away is tricky fixture and that we should be happy with a point in order to try and defend what is another woeful away result and another two vital points dropped
W4 D3 of their last seven home league games , so they are no longer the whipping boys , it was a disappointment after Wednesday night , not the performance ,but the result which was an injustice.
You can guarantee we will play worse and win before the end of the season , take it on the chin and move on Blue.

If we took our earlier chances then it wouldn't have been a problem. Besides that their equaliser came down our right.
The build up came from our left mate, laporte had to come over to fill the gap and was left in no man's land, we should've scored 4/5 but we didn't but I find it strange how Ake has covered that area yet he sticks with Bernardo ? Hard to moan at the performance it's just the one incident which ultimately cost us.

Ake is being rested for the Champions League mate. If we lost him in the Forest game then we would of been fucked. Ake has had his fair share of injuries (especially during last season's title run-in)

Real kick in the balls. Played well, should have pissed it. So many chances, and then let down by some shocking defending.
Had our foot on Arsenal’s throat midweek, let it off again today.

I'm sure he would've been alright to come in for the last ten minutes mate, naive of us to think we can just see the game out with Bernardo covering left back when we have 2-3 actual left backs on the bench. Rested or not it's poor from us, funnily enough we bring Ake on in the 89th...

So Wednesday night was a mirage? A result that we had to put a lot of effort in getting the 3 points and in the main the performance was good vs Forest except for putting the ball in the back of the net.
I’m really not understanding your point here now, your initial post was that ‘normally we would be happy with 4 points from two tricky away games’ my points are the following:

Forrest away is not and should not be a tricky away game for city, I don’t mean to sound arrogant or entitled but a team of citys quality should be winning the game comfortably and any team with aspirations of winning the league should never be satisfied with a point there. Calling it a tricky fixture afterwards is a poor defence of a terrible result which is made worse after such an important win on Wednesday. I agree the performance wasn’t terrible today but the result was, it feels like a massive kick in the teeth and as if that arsenal win means next to nothing now as they take it back out of our hands 3 days later

Laporte acted like he was in no mans land, theres no excuse for not putting a challenge in, shocking defending.

They are decent form at the minute and have only lost once since January in the league. It had the potential , and was proven to be very tricky despite the players we had at our disposal. Especially after the first clash with Arsenal where had to put a lot in that performance to get a result as well. Forest had one or two players who had Champions League and Premier League experienced in their defence (despite completely riding their luck).

Sweet Jesus, just watched the highlights. We missed some amount of sitters today. Still believe Arsenal will continue to drop points and we'll tip them at the end. Right down to the wire.

Not sure if it's been mentioned but even when crusing surely with ten left we bring Ake or Lewis on to fill the gap at left back ? If we had any weakness it was always the covering Bernardo playing outta position in that area, pretty naive from us but we go again.
Spot on. Especially when they brought on another attacker for a defender. Seems so obvious now. kill the game and protect what you have.

Trying not to dwell too much but we do need to see games out better, carrying on playing an out of position Bernardo when we have Ake or Lewis on the bench to see the game out is a baffling choice.
