Josko Gvardiol

He's playing us on Wednesday so no doubt will be in interviews/press conferences with loaded questions about his future and specifically the Premier League. I doubt it's sewn up either way so keeping his options open.

If Ake signs a new deal and even if Laporte leaves, i can't see him coming here. We will still have 4 senior CH's and i don't think he's the type of left back we're going to need.
If Gvardiol backs himself, he will know that he is better than Akanji and more reliable than Stones

Linked with dippers, rags & Chelsea lol

Except for our more secretive deals I always enjoy it when the others are linked, find it's a good sign when everyone else are supposedly after a target of ours like Gvardiol.

It's a sign of their mental weakness (the press's) anyone but City mantra just like their in complete denial with Haaland choosing us, it was almost anyone but us it really twisted their insides out the thought of him being here... similarly they're now going through a rough patch coming to terms with the fact Bellingham might want to join too, we're only getting more press with him as nobody seems to have the finances or are certainly saying they can't afford him.

The media have always had their strange sexual fantasies of our best players leaving every single year, or world class players going anywhere but City they hate it and can't take it... it can be obvious at times and I love it.

Leipzig defenders get hyped to the sky for some reason, Upamecano and Konate make Mangala seem composed. Haven't seen as much of this player but ruined for pace by a 38 year old at the WC isn't too promising.

Messi is 34 or 35 I believe, and was the player of the tournament. Anyone can be ruined by his ability. Konate is good, just LFC are crap. Upamecano is a good CB just irrational.

From what I’ve seen he’d be somewhere between Laporte and Ake
Possibly a better natural defender than Laporte but nowhere near as good a passer. Yet still probably a better passer than Ake.
Pace probably similar to both
We need two left footers but his price is very steep and probably a fair bit more than he’s worth at this moment in time. We’d be paying a premium for potential

I'm not too fussed about the fee personally. Him being 21. Balancing off the fee with laporte going. Rather start getting ahead in refreshing the squad. New hungry players in will help with motivation and such.

It whether City really does want the player that is the key. They decided Cucurella's fee was too steep.

Making a big assumption that Laporte is off tbf
Who can afford him, fee and wages?
Barca with their lowball offers can fuck off
Madrid? Maybe but they can’t expect favours or bargains

Laporte isn't sticking around for another season as rotation. I don't get the impression that Laporte himself would be doing us any favors, he will force a way out. 30 something I reckon to Real or Barca. Its a profit on the books and everyone can move on.

30m for Laporte?

Would be like selling 10 pound notes for a fiver (and not the Mickey Thomas 10 pound notes).
