PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

The worst thing about Tebas is that he is given a platform in the English media, including the BBC, with absolutely no challenge and no context reported. Just think about that for a second. A man who is still under investigation for corruption and has recently re-asserted his support for a far right political group which wants to forcibly repatriate Muslim immigrants from Spain is allowed to make false and libellous comments about the PL Champions without being called out or challenged. The English media which is apparently so concerned about workers rights in the Middle East is happy to give a voice to a fascist.
It's a like like like from me

They will have to do the mental gymnastics that we bought off the highest court in Europe in CAS and then an Independent panel to the Premier League. Exoneration is subjective to football fans depending which team they support.
Many fans think we were guilty of the main charges last time because the press called us guilty without the emphasis on the fact that it was because we didn't co-operate.

I find it incredible that the bloated fascist Tebas is invited to the FT football event and allowed spout pure invective about us. The home of the Premier League are happy to allow a far right nutball, who has allowed his own league to degenerate into chaos, is given free press to denigrate the current English champions. It beggars belief but the English sporting press never cease to amaze for all the wrong reasons.
More amazing still, is it was only a few weeks ago he said this:
https://www.thescore.com/esp_fed/news/2575313

"This is the problem you have in football, that when you detect a problem, some cheating, in this economic case it takes so long to react."
"I am sceptical because I know that it is not only Manchester City that have similar problems," he said.

"There are other Premier League clubs that have also breached their financial regulations and the league is not acting as it should have been acting for years in this respect."

La Liga's chief criticised the English top flight and insisted that a potential European Super League would not be a clever way of competing with its riches.
So he's pretty much been saying what he likes about all Premier League clubs and the Premier League as an organisation. Sounds like one of them pissheads at the pub, who get all preachy after a few whiskeys : "Yep City are cheats and they're pretty much all at it in the Premier League, am tellin' ya now. I'm always right when I'm drunk".

As long as he's bashing City, our UK press and tv media keep giving him credibility, like his opinions are to be respected or like he has integrity or something. It's similar with the quotes from Leterme that keep getting circulated. They'd never normally give these characters the time of the day or if they did, it would be with a negative slant to poke fun at them.

If we end up getting hit by non-cooperation charges only then I hope we get a decent PR company involved because, even though that's what happened at CAS, 99% of the public still think we were found guilty.

They'll always think that because this whole thing is based on one very simple concept:

"There's no way the dirty Arabs are performing better than our historic clubs. The only possible explanation is they must be cheating."

Not sure it's 99% mate. It's just all the shouty cunts who, to be fair to you, because of their shoutiness give off the impression that they represent the wider football supporting community.

It never fails to amaze me how thick and gullible so many football fans are when plenty of them display competent levels of intelligence outside of football. It's clearly a case of tribalism taking over. And don't anyone think our own fans are much different - if this was United having all these charges levelled at them, plenty of our own would be giving it the "Cheating cunts/guilty as fuck" line without any knowledge of the case and without giving a shit about due process.

If we’re exonerated then I’d say fuck the haters

This could be thrown out but the damage is done, the media and their lackeys have done the hatchet job on City and in the eyes of every football fan posting their vitriol on social media pages such as Sports Bible or listening to Talk Sport, they have us bang to rights in their opinion rather than what a court or panel thinks .

How about a television debate between eg Delaney or Harris and Lord Pannick. Seeing him rip them to shreds would be like the 6-1 again.

If the Premier League come out and say it’s all fine now does Khaldoon come out and explain things or is that it. I would really like him to come out and go for the Red clubs and the premier league for coming after us I accept that won’t happen but I would like him to explain things to people that don’t read your posts.
Khaldoon has in the past said dont blame city if you're club is ran poorly or words to that effect

There are grounds under which we could appeal but I understand those are limited to issues of improper process or points of law.

Edit: The interesting question for me is that if we were cleared of all charges bar those relating to non-cooperation, and we felt we had good legal grounds not to cooperate (e.g. because the PL were 'fishing'), would that constitute acceptable grounds for appeal?
Could that end up being like appealing a red card though and punishments could go up as well as down?

Etisalat was already dealt with. ADUG definitely funded that sponsorship before FFP but were reimbursed post-FFP. UEFA were reported to be happy with that.

Well yes, but the actual accounting was wrong, possibly mistakenly, possibly deliberately, if I understand it correctly, and unless there were side agreements in place that weren't presented at CAS. If they were looking for some incorrect accounting, they may have looked there.

But, like I say, not material to the signed, audited annual accounts.

I doubt they have much else that will stand up against counter-evidence other than non-cooperation.
