yeah I think so - basically I think by 10 - 12 years a govt in this country has run its course always has - this lot have overstayed their welcome and are now stinking the place out.
Was it MacMillan who said " events dear boy. events" ? - Iraq caught up with the Blair/Brown administration coupled with the financial collapse
Major was done by Back to Basics when his cabinet members going to jail and getting staff pregnant etc did for him.
Its the absolute power thing - after so long there are no new ideas no new faces and people get sick of seeing the same faces rehashing the same promises and lies from whichever Govt

I admit the system needs sorting out and these ideas may not work but don't forget all these people coming here are costing tax payers a lot of money.
Labour haven't got s fucking clue on how to sort it, it wasn't one of Stramers 5 bullet points last week on his master plan.

Brown was the polar opposite to Johnson. Intelligent, capable, principled, a man of stature on the world stage. But his lack of charisma didn’t play well in the cheap seats where in truth, maybe a third of the country don’t know anything about politics so just vote for the person they “like”. Braverman just announced a set of idea's to beat the boats thats the same as the one her predecessor did last year. She can't go into the details yet - because as yet the wording of the proposed bill has not been drafter and aside from 200 to Rwanda they have no other agreements in place to "swiftly" deport people to. As a distraction its transparent.

But here we are - you can't get here legally to claim asylum so there will be no way to claim asylum in the UK.
I can't believe we are living in a world where a government thinks it can get away with making all asylum illegal.

Create a problem, tell everyone that only they can fix it then propose a solution that has no chance of going through but appeals to the uneducated. Finally blame the ECHR, the EU and lefty lawyers for its failure. Transparent as fuck but it works every time, hopefully to fewer people than previous attempts at this strategy on other topics.

I saw on the news an immigrant who has been allowed to stay is training to be an nhs nurse , we need immigrants here , we are severley lacking them here , the care system and the nhs need them
