Jude Bellingham

For half the price FDJ should be a no-brainer. I`ve watched lots and lots of Dortmund games over the past few years and I can`t see the hype. Sure he`s pretty good and very young, but currently nowhere near the player people say he is. He`s not a better talent than any of Pedri, Gavi, Musiala or Wirtz. Don`t think he`s good enough on the ball for a Pep team and tends to lose the ball extremely often. If I had a quid for every time he conceded a counterattack by losing the ball in the middle, I`d be able to pay for him myself. Frenkie is the most perfect Pep player out there, his wages could be an issue though
Another over hyped Englishman for me, it would be an enormous investment in fee and wages, not for me when as you say FDJ would probably be available for 1/2 the cost and is for me a far better player.

FDJ is a proper footballer, not sure Jude ever will be.

Why are people banging on about De Jong. He's made it pretty clear he wants to stay at Barca. There isn't a choice here between the two of them.

Without a doubt Bellingham is a top talent, I would n't be judging him too much on last nights performance. He has the energy and legs we need in midfield and can chip in with the odd goal. The transfer fee is too high of course but you have the English premium and you are paying for potential.
Plus he looks a bit of a knob on the field. Always throwing his arms up like a kid at his own players when they make a mistake. Very good player but not as good as the media make out and certainly not worth 150m+

Your annoyed he actually gives a shit. He should just accept when others aren't pulling their weight I guess?
KDB does it every week.

Why do you care what the media make out. Certain media outlets also think the rags were narrowly beaten by the dippers and Martinez was man of the match.

Pep knows how to evaluate midfielders. If he wants Bellingham, that is good enough for me.

He’s got a long way to go Bellingham, before being classed as a great player, the money their talking about No Thanks, maybe in a couple of year or So.

Who said I was annoyed? I’m not that bothered mate :) I just think he comes across as a bit of a dick. I’ve said it before on this thread so it’s not a knee jerk reaction to a poor game. I don’t think he’d dare so it in our team as much but I’ve always liked the fact that we - with the obvious couple of exceptions - sign players that don’t act like Fernandez etc

FDJ over Jude any day of the week.

Cheaper, better and would settle instantly, Jude has enormous potential but with the fee required it's a huge risk.
yes agreed but I am afraid that will be a impossible deal to get done.

You did but you were also beating your meat for Enzo Fernandez on a daily basis and telling everyone Josh Wilson-Esbrand was a much better player than Rico Lewis so I'm not sure how reliable you are when it comes to rating players correctly.
by looking at yesterday's game it seems like I was correct. Enzo was far better than Bellingham. mind you enzo is doing that in a dysfunctional chelsea team, imagine how good he will be under pep. also regarding Wilson-Esbrand I speifically said he was a better traditional fullback compared to Rico who obviously is a better player as a false midfielder and still struggles to defend as a normal fullback.

Bellingham is a superb player,he has proven that on plenty of occasions.

Judging him on an average game last night, where he could very easily have got on the score sheet and won the game for his team,is harsh and foolish.

Why do you think that?

FDJ is one of few assets Barca have and they need to raise cash and are also interested in two of our players.

The player in the question doesn't want to be in City of Manchester, same of his partner to double it down. You need the player of approval to be able the get the transfer done, if he doesn't want to go it's impossible to happen.

Barca already done that last summer trying to unsettle player so they able to sell him to the rags, yet he didn't bulge and still keep staying at Barca.

barcelona will not sell their main player even if they need cash they will sell someone else. besides FDJ has said many times he prefers to stay at barcelona doubt he will move to manchester.

Disagree and I think he would be interested in coming to us, time will tell.

Lots of noise about Bernie/Laporte and Barca, and if those rumours are remotely true, FDJ has to be part of it.

He's an excellent player and one I'd love to see us sign, but if Gundo and Bernie are both to go this summer we need an extra man in midfield who is able to control the tempo of our play from a deeper position and De Jong is that man. I can't think of many others who can do that role for us, but it comes down to whether Barca are willing to do business. De Jong doesn't seem to be on the list of players that they are willing to sell at the moment, but we should be all over it if he is available.

FDJ is a master.....but Bellingham isnt a pudding when it comes to play making and orchestrating, alongside Rodri and Grealish i think he would be great.

something like......

Alvarez--Haaland--Foden
--Grealish--Bellingham
-----------Rodri----------
-Gvardiol-Dias-Stones-Lewis

This thread is for discussing all things Bellingham. If you wish to discuss/argue the merits of another player, either do it in the relevant thread (radical idea alert), or take it to pms.
