Former Liverpool striker Michael Owen does not think it is all doom and gloom, however.

"Liverpool's strength is that group of players who have been to the trenches and won together. That takes years of building. Why is everyone talking about a refresh?" Owen said, speaking on BT Sport.

"I think Liverpool have got enough. Looking through their starting XI, there's nobody out there better than their goalkeeper. Their right-back is unbelievable, the left-back too, Virgil van Dijk is probably the best in the world when he is on form. Ibrahima Konate is brilliant.

"The front five are brilliant. Darwin Nunez was the hottest striker around last year. Cody Gakpo was one of the stars of the World Cup.

"When they bought Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino they weren't £100m players, they weren't the best in the world at the time. Nunez could be anything, he could be one of the best in the world in five years."

Dunno why the rest of us bother, they are the greatest bestest most brilliant group of players ever !!

Let Owen arse lick them all he wants he’s desperately trying to get back in their fans good books but he played for the rags and they all hate him now. Pathetic little weasel

Whilst I would not disgree with your assessment of Owen Bill, all the pundits trot out the dipper propaganda regarding spending. and it's so bloody tedious and false.

It's like the rags really in so far that they can spend, but don't spend fixing the areas which need the most attention.

Always the same like night following day - they know their target audience will blindly lap up the shit they spout.
Did you mean Bill Owen? Well they are on the whole a Compo type scruffy looking bunch of twats I suppose.

It's all maybes and what ifs. Lol

Not such big fans of ~Ben Zimmy~ now, are they?

Sort of related, but by Christ I hate grief tourism. Saw a thread on another site by some Scouse woman making James Bulger’s death all about her. He wasn’t your son, you sick fuck.

Klipperty is complaining about our penalty on Tuesday saying it wasn’t handball. I didn’t hear him complain a couple of years ago when the ball slightly brushed Laporte on the arm and our goal was disallowed or Alexander’s handball from which they went up the other end and scored. Fuck off you German twat and concentrate on qualifying for the europa conference next year

Just checked and it was £64m with add-ons of £21m. The add-ons were probably based on trophies won, appearances, goals scored, league position etc etc. So as it stands it is £64m with little chance of any add-ons in the foreseeable future.
Not how it will be recorded in the books. Under the concept of prudence they'll have to book the entire potential fee no matter how unlikely the clauses are and only when he's no longer at the club or they are not achieveable will they be allowed to amend for any add-ons not reached. so for now, he's £85 million.
