I've been thinkin about something..

Only Shearer and Haaland really know what it's like to join the WRONG TEAM and have tons of fun doing it with the chip on your shoulder because the media will never let them forget they joined the WRONG TEAM!

It's good that Jamie said it..
Will always motivate City and Erling!

(even if they don't acknowledge it publicly)

Difference being, Haaland will win more here than Shearer did at Newcastle ;)

Aside from his goals, Erling is improving in every game of late.

He's dropping in to midfield, he is linking up a lot more and going for the returns.

Smart move from him and Pep, because teams were trying to isolate him and cut the supply.

Haaland is actually using his physical power and speed much more now.
Pep had a 1 2 1 just around 20 mins yesterday, they were letting us out then hitting the press as soon as Kyle, Rico & Rodri got it

Walker & Mahrez had a shit 20 minute spell 1st halfbut as soon as we scored the 1st 2 it was over

Phil & Kev were class

He's always just there. Ready to smash, tap or head the ball in. That's something you can't teach.

Has to be one of the best strikers ever. Majority of his goals are what we have missed without a proper striker.

I'd say he is very much like Ronaldo in that sense?

Ronaldo never really had the skills to dribble past six players like Messi, but put him inside the side yard box, and he rarely failed to convert.

Both men share the same ability to sense the goal and keep on their toes, waiting for the possibility of a rebound.

If Haaland improves upon his heading, he will be the complete package.

Not sure I agree on the skills of Ronaldo. Go back and watch the start of his career, his dribbling and technique was insanely good. In fact Messi probably had less "tricks" up his sleeve, what Messi does have is an insane ability to glide and move past players.

It’s great to see you on the forum, Alfie!

There is no chance in hell that Alf wants Erling to stay more than 2-3 years. If Haaland stays here any longer, it will be in spite of his dad and agent, not because of them. Those two will want another £20m payout at all costs.

So many of his goals are first time finishes; that's what I love the most about him. It's the sign of a world class striker.

His third goal against Burnley, he had no right to hit that first time; he barely had time to blink. Lesser players would have taken a touch to steady, but he just rifled it first time. The guy is an apex predator.

If we can get 4/5 years out of erling then you got to be happy with that. He is only 22, go abroad peak 27/28 if he must.

Probably the plan all along. Go to Madrid too early and he is stuck there on an unrealistic release clause, look a hazard and bale.

Real Madrid don’t treat players properly.

Apex Predator should be the name of his ghost-written autobiography.

  • Erling Haaland has now scored in every top-flight club competition he's played in except the Community Shield, which he's only appeared in once.
  • As of his third goal of the day, Haaland had scored eight goals with his previous 40 touches on the ball.
  • Haaland has scored six hat tricks this season in all competitions. No other player from Europe's top five leagues has more than two hat tricks this season.

They can get another payout on a new contract, as well.

Yeah. If money for himself is Alfie's biggest motivator in his son's career then he's a bit of a bellend - which I doubt. However if it is I'm sure we wouldn't be shy in offering it to him as a contract bonus if it meant keeping Erling.

I'd love Haaland to stay for 10 years, but at the end of the day he has a market value. So unless there's some ludicrously low buyout clause, I suspect he's worth well north of £200m right now. If he wanted to leave in a couple of years and e.g. RM want to offer us say £280m for him, we can buy a lot of different talent for £280m.

Anyway, let's hope this is not something which is tested any time soon.

I think it is soon going to be public knowledge that RM cannot afford Haaland (for several reasons).

I think having Haaland in the team will re-energize Pep and get him to extend his stay further.

How he can leave now that he has the best striker in the world in his hands, one who has the perfect attitude that Pep looks for?

Do continue…

You little flirt!

Is that because he's worth £1.5tn and they would have to liquidate the entire city of Madrid?

A like just seems do inadequate sometimes.

Let’s just say what happens in Barcelona doesn’t stay in Barcelona (especially when they think others are conspiring against them).

Also, the recent banking turmoil reaches far and wide.
