Northern have a two bike limit (nominally. although our FOCs cycle club have go on with four bikes!), the Metro allows folded bikes, so if we want to go cycling out in the leafy cycle paths of, say, Cheshire, or a lovely towpath down a canal, it invariably means the bikes go on the carrier, and the carrier goes on the towbar and we drive to a simple spot and then cycle. Public transport doesn't fit everything but it needs to make more of a 'do' than it does!

Exactly as Harriet Harman said if you are doing over the speed limit you use your eyes to look at the speedo and see what is going on - don't get me wrong Johnson would pay up - or a donor would for him - but then he would bleat in interviews how no adviser sat in a lorry cab on the M6 near Birmingham told him he was exceeding the speed limit thus making the punishment unfair and issued by a Kangaroo court by leftie Magistrates

If he could drive at 78mph without realising there was a temporary 40mph limit, I suspect there was probably no need for the 40 mph limit.

Agreed he paid his fine, apologised, said what he thought, and the matter is closed. Smart motorways are anything but smart and he has my sympathies. Maybe he can take his own experience and campaign for someone to fix these bloody things.

We shouldn’t get in to conversation about “what about the other guy” as it allows them to lower standards overall and us to accept it.
 
Self serving loathsome politician, why someone from Aintree is Mayor of our City I can't comprehend. He failed as a labour MP and will prove to be a failed mayor.

Before COVID occurred,a friend of mine who had built an app that would have served all small businesses/shops/cafes/restauarants in the city to promote them locally and overcoming SEO's etc. He was called for a meeting, waited for 3 hours and then was told 'Andy' was busy.

The bloke is all about soundbites on TV and radio.

I remember listening to GMR when he said 'with the government we have devised a Clean Air Zone' for Manchester, that would be wonderful for all.

Unfortunately he didn't expect the response from small business owners who all said they couldn't afford to buy or even find a van/car that was available for a reasonable price, and would either retire or close their business

The guy is an absolute clown, if you don't believe me, if you ever see him park his car wait while the doors fall off

May be not a gift, but reading/lstening to all those politicains who make their 'proclamations' at their election,but then blame/claim others who let them down.They aare charlatans

Then look at someone like Paul O'Grady, who passed away yesterday. He built a fantatstic career, over many years through clubs, stage, TV etc who offered support, love and money without expecting adulation and reverence to many charities unlike like little Harry and Big Meg

I would love to know why there is a Prince Harry but not a Prince Paul

Why is there a King Charlie boy but not Queeen Lily, what has little Charlie acheived to be annointed 'OUR' apart from travelling his mothers birth canal
