As in, a trophy parade? It hasn't. We don't live in a Chinese state imposing censorship. It's on the news whenever there's a significant anniversary. You can Google the word Heysel and all the information is there - what else do you want?

I know, I was being ironic. Although I don’t claim to be really clever like you and chrisPretension.
You can Google mark lawrenson on Heysel and it will take you to a 13 minute video with notes dipper mr Lawrenson saying it is never mentioned snd he doesn’t know why. Of course you can Google the event and find out what happened but when is it ever actually mentioned? And why? Sniff sniffIt hasn't. We don't live in a Chinese state imposing censorship. As for the bus incident, it looks like one missile from a random person. What’s the City connection?

It's quite a leap from that to say it's been airbrushed from history. When is it ever mentioned? I just told you. Also, people are supposedly chanting about it whenever we play Liverpool. Whilst I agree that it has been largely buried. It's worth reading this piece from the Guardian by Ed Vulliamy. Carries more weight given the fact that he is a respected journalist, war correspondent and lifelong Liverpool supporter. You said that Heysel hadn’t been airbrushed from history. It effectively has
I think a few might answer: How about some accountability for a fanbase that is brown nosed and pandered to by the UK press and sports broadcasters? How about the damage that the consequences of their actions caused to english football in the 80s is acknowledged(should they be lauded and pandered to as a fanbase to the extent they are?), instead of that club and their fanbase being held up as something they are not all the time? Like they've only ever been a good example for English football. What do you want to see that isn't happening now

How about the damage that the consequences of their actions caused to english football in the 80s is acknowledged instead, of being that club and their fanbase being held up as something they are not all the time? Like they've only ever been a good example for English football. Most of this was before I was following football, but if they really were saying it was Chelsea fans and acting like they were hard done by. While other english clubs and fans were tarnished and punished along with them, then it's understandable where their reputation comes from.
They were blaming Chelsea fans. Not surprisingly Chelsea fans of a certain age are still a bit miffed.I think a few might answer: How about some accountability for a fanbase that is brown nosed and pandered to by the UK press and sports broadcasters? It has all gone through the legal system and a number of Liverpool fans were convicted. I don't understand what else you would want to see happen? I would agree with you if no one had been charged but that isn't the case. What you've mentioned there seems to be more about a media bias towards atmosphere at anfield etc which is completely unrelated to thisI think a few might answer: How about some accountability for a fanbase that is brown nosed and pandered to by the UK press and sports broadcasters? If apologies were points....This season, Victimpool are happy to settle for apologies after a game as they are getting nothing on the pitch!
If I have to explain to you why they get different levels of coverage then there is no point debating thisMaybe the same or equal coverage of the Bradford fire and the Heysel killings as Hillsborough gets would start the ball rolling.

Why do you think Hillsborough gets more coverage than Heysel? Genuinely want to get your honest answerThat's what people are complaining about, and of course the protection the scouse scum get over this and what appears to be anything else.
You're analysing something that doesn't need analysing. In fact you're almost analising it.

It's the attitude of the fanbase that is enabled by the pandering of the press, they are hand in hand. I think you're being a bit disingenuous about this. That whole fanbase is treated differently than pretty much any other club's IMO. I've already said I'm not in favour of chants about it but I don't think we should forget all about it just because some people were charged either. It has all gone through the legal system and a number of Liverpool fans were convicted.
