Liverpool bus damaged on journey back from Etihad Stadium today

Last April I witnessed a small group of lads throw cans at the liverpool team bus as it turned into Rowsley street arriving at the Etihad. Most missed, but I remember one hitting a window and spraying beer down the side of the bus. The bus carried on, the lads, who weren’t wearing colours, ran off and none of the police or stewards on the corner took any action at all. It was a non-event and wasn’t commented on at all after the match. But then the scousers weren’t humiliated on the pitch that day….

It’s been going on for years:

They killed 39 fans at Heysel and blamed UEFA, blamed the stadium, blamed Belgian police, blamed Chelsea fans, blamed Belgian skinheads, said Juventus fans started it and even blamed Roma fans from the season before and that they were the victims of poor organisation and other fans’ actions… always the victims, it’s never their fault.

Trouble in Athens, thousands with fake tickets got in, thousands with real tickets left outside and they blamed UEFA, blamed the stadium, blamed the stewards, blamed Greek police, they took no responsibility for it and said they were the victims… always the victims, it’s never their fault.

Trouble at the Emirates in the CL, hundreds with fake tickets got in, hundreds with real tickets left outside and they blamed UEFA, blamed the stadium, blamed the stewards, blamed Arsenal, blamed Met police, they took no responsibility for it and said they were the victims… always the victims, it’s never their fault.

Their player said a racist comment to a United player and their entire club and fanbase played it like he was the victim of a hate campaign… always the victims, it’s never their fault.

Troubled finances and they failed FFP, they have a shirt sponsor that was fined billions for money laundering for terrorist organisations and their club hacked our scouting computer system yet constantly moan about City, City in relation to FFP, cheating, the CAS, ‘a bad day for football’ and human rights abuses in UAE… Hypocrites FC

Trouble in Paris, the Liverpool bottom tier was chock-fuckin-block full of Liverpool fans in Liverpool shirts with thousands outside with real tickets who never got in, there are videos of them storming a turnstile, they had fans tweeting pictures with captions like ‘jibbed our Alan in’ ‘haha they didn’t even scan our tickets and we got in on these (while holding up fakes)’ and one lad even boasted about getting in wearing a suit and a fake UEFA Delegates badge, and someone was arrested in Winsford for making and selling counterfeit tickets for that final last year yet they blamed UEFA, blamed the stadium, blamed the stewards, blamed French police, blamed local North African youths, they took no responsibility for it and said they were the victims… always the victims, it’s never their fault.

They’ve chanted about Harold Shipman for years yet cry about chants that aren’t even bad and are just highlighting their pathetic hypocrisy… always the victims, it’s never their fault.

They smash windows on our team and fan buses, throw whisky bottles at our goalkeeper, spit at our bench, throw coins at our manager, injure a teenage girl with coins in a cup yet they complain about very questionable writing on a toilet cubicle door (City fans don’t use the term ‘Kopites’)… always the victims, it’s never their fault.

They unfurl ‘Steaua Bucharesti 85’ banners whenever they play Everton and held a fucking trophy parade on the anniversary of the Heysel disaster and don’t see anything wrong with it (could you imagine their outcry if South Yorkshire Police held a celebratory function on 15th April?!). Other sets of fans chant ‘always the victims, it’s never your fault’ at them and they turn it round into them being the victims of Hillsborough chanting the lying set of scum cunts. That song has got the square root of fuck all to do with Hillsborough and they fucking know it!

They boo’d a City player being stretchered off, they boo the National Anthem at Cup finals, they even boo’d ‘Abide With Me’ at the FA Cup final last season, they disrupted a minute’s silence for the Queen, they chanted ‘Liz is in a box’ at Rangers fans, they chanted about the IRA at Rangers, they have ripped out and stolen seats two seasons running at Molineux, they have always had flags and banners and songs about Munich, they line the streets around Anfield to throw objects at opposition team buses all the time and have even thrown acid at United’s players once yet they claim they’re always on the receiving end of despicable chanting that upsets them when all the chant is, is a reminder of them being the biggest set of cunts in this country (and they are worse than United fans, they really are!)

Always the victims, it’s never your fault.
Brilliant post mate.
You could have added "attacked an ambulance carrying a player with a broken leg" but that was probably not their fault neither

It goes back further than that.

They broke a window of a City fan coach in 2014, a City fan mini-bus in 2015, our team coach in 2018 and again this season. They spat at the City bench last season and threw coins at Pep this season.

They injured a teenage girl at the Etihad this season and were throwing coins, cups, cups filled with coins and spitting down on City fans all game.

They boo’d Ederson off the pitch when he was on a stretcher in 2017.

They’ve chanted ‘there’s only one Harold Shipman’ at City fans for years. A serial killer of Mancunians, someone who killed two and a half times more people than died at Hillsborough. But the Cult think that’s alright and funny to sing about.

They hacked City’s computer systems and got away with it; something that, by UK law, should be punished with imprisonment. They organised a hate campaign that was lapped up and carried on by the media towards Raheem Sterling all because he dared to leave them. They failed Financial Fair Play but strangely didn’t achieve a place through the league or a trophy to see them qualify for Europe in the season they would have been banned from Europe, yet they moan about City and our finances all the time.

And their **** of a manager said it was a ‘bad day for football’ when we were exonerated by the CAS.

But the hostility even goes back a lot further than all that n’all: the battles City and Liverpool fans had in the 60s 70s and 80s and you can ask our large contingent of black fans who used to go to away games in the 70s and 80s what city was the worst to visit for racist abuse and they’ll tell you that it was Liverpool (at both Anfield and Goodison).

That club and fanbase are offended by everything and ashamed of nothing. That’s why we chant ‘always the victims, it’s never your fault’ and why sometimes some City fans will think ‘enough is enough’ and will take retribution into their own hands because Liverpool and their fanbase are never punished for anything they do to us.

It may have been said already but don't forget Klipperty encouraging the ferals to travel to Paris without a ticket and most definitely without a care for the consequences. Not that any of the consequences were their fault...

There’s been Stadium disasters at Rangers and Bradford but Liverpool have over commemorated Hillsborough because they legitimately had cause to blame the authorities. Those gates should not have been opened and neither should those fences have been up. However, they’re responsible for disorder for numerous other matches hence “always the victims.”

On a more positive note, I went to Birkenhead Asda today in a Real Madrid Bale jersey. The overhead kick in the CL Final is one of my favourite non-City goals and it denied Liverpool a trophy. My God did people look miserable in the aisles.

Not good no one should be throwing bricks seems a random. idiot rather than the Liverpool FC attack on the city bus. The club changed the route which was leaked allowing a mob to assemble and put the team at risk, the police didn't collect the hours of video evidence and the club issued zero bans. Perspective

Take a bow, mate.
That is what is called a definitive post. Have you thought about posting that as a comment in the comments section either after a match report on the BBC website, or on Youtube? It would probably be censored, but worth trying. Also sending off multiple e-mails of it to every single sports desk at every single form of print media that covers football in the country? I'm serious.
The great strength of it is that it's not exclusively or even particularly about us and our beef with them. It explains why they are universally hated amongst actual fans of other clubs, in my experience. It also explains what that chant actually means, and why it's sung up and down the country.
