You know what ‘trending’ is like these days; it seems to be trendy at the moment to be a left-winger and hate Starmer/Labour and call them Tory-lite. I imagine there are loads of people like this across the country so when it comes to voting it could be a lot of people who’ll not bother voting or voting for Greens or something.

Instead of getting rid of this disgraceful Tory govt and improving things (even if not to the extent people really want), I wouldn't be surprised to see the Tories getting in again.

I haven’t had a single conversation outside of the internet about Starmer being a traitor to the Labour left. I’m not arguing the merits of that position, I certainly have sympathies with it, I just think this kind of inter-party wrangling is of absolutely no interest to most voters. They want to know if a leader can be trusted to do a good job and if their party has a good set of policies that they agree with. That’s it. We don’t really know what Labour’s election platform is yet because we’re still miles away from an election so revealing them now would be strategically giving the Conservatives a head start.

I will judge Starmer based on the strength of his election campaigning, policies and whether I deem him to have more integrity than his competition (low bar there) and I suspect most of the country will do the same.

If you think people should publicly keep quiet about their misgivings(at least those with any sway) just to keep out the Tories that is a different matter.

At the end of the day I reckon the vast majority of the left calling Starmer out will vote for him.

It will be middle England that does for the Tories and a few folk who voted tory because of brexit last time

If you think that the majority of those posting on Twitter against Starmer are genuine Labour supporters and Socialists then you have fallen for the Tory Bots.

Food inflation at 19% is very ugly, and more important than the overall 10% for many people.

That the aim/goal is to have inflation at 5% means it's still above most pay rises.

Yep they will, reason? Because Laboir aren't strong enough to tackle the main issues and Stramer isn't a good leader.
The whole of politics in this country is crying out for another party because Conservative and Labour are terrible and I think it will happen in the next few years. This country is a joke.

To think, they hero worship Thatcher, the biggest proponent of the single market, and Churchill who was instrumental in the formation of the ECHR.
He said the following which is as true today as it was when he said it.

Very prescient.
He would be horrified at what the party he once fought for is doing now.
 
Rather than reading the report and its conclusions and forming a response and actions Sunak and crowd clearly have their conclusions and are now back tracking over the report to make it fit the story they want to come out
