We can give thumbs up or down but the reality is far greater with that cartoon really hitting home.
Not him as an individual, but look at the Starmer or Labour Party threads and see how many left-wingers are slagging him and the party off. Look how many Twitter accounts of left-wingers are slagging them off.
You know what ‘trending’ is like these days; it seems to be trendy at the moment to be a left-winger and hate Starmer/Labour and call them Tory-lite. I imagine there are loads of people like this across the country so when it comes to voting it could be a lot of people who’ll not bother voting or voting for Greens or something.
Instead of getting rid of this disgraceful Tory govt and improving things (even if not to the extent people really want), I wouldn't be surprised to see the Tories getting in again.
I think if the past few elections have taught me anything it’s that the internet is really not a good indicator of consensus in the general voting population.
People actively debating this stuff online make up a tiny fraction of the overall electorate but those are the voices you hear and see most prominently.
I haven’t had a single conversation outside of the internet about Starmer being a traitor to the Labour left. I’m not arguing the merits of that position, I certainly have sympathies with it, I just think this kind of inter-party wrangling is of absolutely no interest to most voters. They want to know if a leader can be trusted to do a good job and if their party has a good set of policies that they agree with. That’s it. We don’t really know what Labour’s election platform is yet because we’re still miles away from an election so revealing them now would be strategically giving the Conservatives a head start.
I will judge Starmer based on the strength of his election campaigning, policies and whether I deem him to have more integrity than his competition (low bar there) and I suspect most of the country will do the same.
People are entitled to whatever opinion they like. Also I said as an individual when you put the x against your choice you ain't changing dick so you ain't allowing the tories to get in.
If you think people should publicly keep quiet about their misgivings(at least those with any sway) just to keep out the Tories that is a different matter.
At the end of the day I reckon the vast majority of the left calling Starmer out will vote for him.
It will be middle England that does for the Tories and a few folk who voted tory because of brexit last time
I don't use twitter but I agree you have to be pretty cynical about anything to do with politics nowadaysIf you think that the majority of those posting on Twitter against Starmer are genuine Labour supporters and Socialists then you have fallen for the Tory Bots.
Inflation not dropping at the rate Hunt and Sunak were predicting. Interest rates going to creep up to off set it, that will hurt a lot of home owners and businesses that are struggling at the moment.

Yep they will, reason? Because Laboir aren't strong enough to tackle the main issues and Stramer isn't a good leader. They will get in again.
Via a small majority of hung parliament.
Houchen was a Johnson favourite for the obvious reasons

Very prescient. Now talking about passing a law which means they can ignore the law. Very dangerous ground and, hopefully, people will start to wake up to yet another power grab by the executive and another attempt to ignore international treaties, laws and obligations. To think, they hero worship Thatcher, the biggest proponent of the single market, and Churchill who was instrumental in the formation of the ECHR.
He said the following which is as true today as it was when he said it.

Does it say ‘remediated’? Looks like you/me have paid for it.That land isn’t worth shit, it needs about £1bn spent on it just to decontaminate it before you can start using it for anything.
Let’s hope it brings the jobs and investment predicted.
