They aren’t bothered mate.
They haven’t listened or taken any notice of what the fans want.
The planning application including the hospitality seats at the front of NSL2 had been agreed upon and signed off well before the sham fan consultation. As others have stated previously, it was nothing more than a box ticking exercise by City. They‘ve absolutely shafted the fans and what we all wanted. The only thing City are bothered about and want is more revenue coming into the club. End of.

There’s a hospitality area under level 2, with stairs leading up to the first 11 rows of seating at the front of level 2. Picture from the planning application posted earlier on.

The model to work off is Dortmund. Fans travel from all over the world to watch the Yellow Wall. Do you think they’d pop 600 posh seats in the key position? No chance.

Let’s say those seats generate an extra £600k per season. Is it genuinely worth it? Is there not more to football than revenue? Could the incredible brains employed by city not figure a way to expand the existing hospitality sections (e.g. SSL2?)

They could easily expand hospitality in ESL2, SSL2 and CBL2 and pretty much make a horse shoe of L2 in all areas other than the new North Stand as corporate/hospitality and leave NSL2 alone and create a proper City vocal stand there.

They could easily do that instead of fragment the new North Stand with bits of hospitality/corporate, bits of cheaper tickets, bits of mid-price tickets and make it just another part of the ground.

Could you imagine Aris or Napoli being told they were getting a new big stand that would be for their vocal fans and then come out with plans that included hospitality?

This is so disappointing.
 
I hope all of the major fan groups make a statement against this. 1894, the OSC, City Matters and anyone else who could influence this. We need to put as much pressure as possible on the club keep their hospitality focused hands off the bottom of NSL2. I'm incredibly disappointed.

TBF you’re only the 2nd person to come up with that argument today, which is understandable.

No, but they won’t harm the atmosphere either and are just as likely to join in with whats going on around them / us ,as Ive been in 93:20 a few times, as any other fan.
 
The hospitality area at the front of the bottom tier wouldn’t be the end of the world as long as the singing area is behind it. If we end up putting vocal fans on the bottom tier because of it it will be more of the same. Fans singing who can’t easily be heard so songs not spreading.

The only place it says ‘option’ is where it says ‘Safe Standing (future option)’ which suggests the whole of the new NSL2 that we all wanted to be a safe standing vocal stand is going to be seated initially.

It wouldn’t be a big deal if it’s premium seating as fans ,all fans, are much more likely to join in if all around are singing. So whether they’ve paid a bit more doesn’t mean they won’t join in the atmosphere around them.

Do you think Liverpool would put a hospitality area in the first ten rows in the Kopp ????
