If we get past Madrid i think he s a sure shot for the ballon d'or. Hope he keeps pushing and breaking records... Love him!!
He could score 25 goals in the final and give his man of the match trophy as a present to the opposition goalie and donate his year's salary to an orphanage and he still wouldn't beat Messi this year. Fairly sure he'll win one while at City, though.

The ballon d'or was already decided the second the world cup final ended. It's a Shame. It's a trophy that should reward a footballer considering what they have done the WHOLE season but now it's just a popularity contest.

That's alright, there's plenty of time for Erling.
Hopefully it'll piss him off and he'll be more determined to win it next season :-)

Imagine that though... Treble and 3peat premier league within the same year to boil manure fans piss. Our very own ballon d'or winner at city and also a whole slew of other awards like best team, best manager, world XI, PL awards etc etc..

...and then top it off by signing the best young player on the market.

I'm trying not be too giddy about it.

And an FA Cup final win against Man United in the middle of it all.

Nice. The debate then becomes whether we are the best English team ever.

Already are the best team ever several times over, and all without Pigmol, Sly, Var, Rag Tops, corruption and never in a one horse race, say what you like about the shite, but they never had it tough, ever, nor won it honestly. CUNTS!

A bit quiet but I thought his linkup play today was even better than Alvarez's. He's ridiculously strong on the ball.
His link up play was great.

He got almost no service, with quite a few runs ignored, so can’t criticise him for not scoring.

He was frustrated a couple of times because players didn’t feed him in, but looked happy enough when he came off and was sitting on the bench.

It shows he is a competitor but he is a team player.

We’re ridiculously fortunate to have him.

No hard feelings after being subbed out. Happy and celebrating after every single goal, even though he didn't score any himself. Just a great team player, and a City fan himself.

Too bad this lovely shot didn't count.

(Sorry about the piss poor edits. I didn't find any better ones)

The other side to big erl today. When sides spend so much attention on keeping him nullified, the space opens up for others. His run and the defenders desperation to keep tabs on him led to mahrez being able to waltz through for the second. Hopefully a game without scoring makes him hungry to absolutely maul holding on Wednesday and bag himself a record breaking hattrick.

Agree. The SU defenders were focussed on Haaland. Alvarez too creates space for that goal. Erling went left and Alvarez right which enabled Mahrez to stroll through.
