I only mentioned Clichy in that they both appear to be ambipedal. Never understood the enmity that Clichy and indeed Kolarov incur on here.Don't want him.

I think he'd be a great signing,
Very intelligent, versatile player, surrounded with the best players and the best coaching he will make the step up in no time.
He's doing well at Brentford because they are well coached but he doesn't really stand out in the all action, high tempo style. In a more controlled team he'd be perfect.

Iirc he turned down a move to Bayern as he didn’t want to play back up/development level football, he wanted regular 1st team games.would be a great signing.
