Have not looked forward to this fixture for a few weeks.

A point would not be the disaster if it comes to it.
If my maths is right we can afford to draw two matches providing we win the other two, but if we lose one we have to win the other three.

That's assuming Arsenal don't drop points, which I don't think they will, and that we keep our better GD.

It was hot and the players will be tired but it's a fair amount of time to recover now before we play Everton. I don't necessarily think the rest will do us any good. We always tend to play well when we're in a rhythm of playing regularly. I'd make a few changes but I'd probably look to start a strong team and then make changes. De Bruyne is the only one who possibly could do with one, but he wasn't that involved until his goal so again might be worth giving him 60 minutes.

It's a must win game in my opinion. We need the margin of error to still be there for our final two games so beating Everton and Chelsea is vital if we're to win the league.

Ederson
Stones
Akanji
Dias
Laporte
Rodri
Gundogan
De Bruyne
Mahrez
Haaland
Foden

Sub Alvarez for De Bruyne, Bernie for Gudo and Gomez, Lewis, Phillips for Walker, Dias and Rodri if we can.

Beat Everton and we'll need two wins from 3 or a win and 2 draws. Huge game and make no mistake, they'll be well up for it. The crowd will be like crazed banshees,so we need to be ultra professional, take our chances and come back up the 62 with 3 points in the bag. Just got mi sen a ticket for it too. It'll be kinda sad saying goodbye to one of the last of the old school grounds. Even though its a hole these days and EFC really needed to move, its still got that old school atmosphere that shits all over the myth of their squalid neighbours. Can't wait!!

Foden, Alvarez, Lewis, Mahrez and laporte will all come in. Take your pick for the other 6 spots from tonight's team, plus ederson. I think everyone will be flying, trying to put their stamp on things for a place next Wednesday.

I see this as a must win to really put pressure on arsenal on the late game.

It could be essentially all over come 6:30 Sunday or all to play for!
You do realise we can drop 4 points and still win the league on gd. That's assuming arsenal are perfect.

I'll be more than happy with a more disciplined and solid approach, ensuring at least a point.Would be great, but we don't need to win this one

Real Madrid are the most expensive counter attacking team on the planet, what nice little training session for this lot on Sunday. ;)

Akanji—Stones—Dias— Ake / Laporte
—————Rodri—-Gundogan—-
Mahrez———Foden———-Grealish
———————Haaland—————

Try to get it won early and get Haaland, Rodri, Gundogan and Stones off asap.

Don't think we can afford to rest Kevin, unfortunately, so he'll probably get at least an hour, and I also reckon Bernardo might be the most in danger of losing his place for the second leg

If the past weeks are anything to go by this will be another slog. Another close game won by the odd goal. Wishful thinking we will take them apart and rest players. I expect a mixed setup with a few rested.

I like the look of that team. I wonder about Gundo, he was absolutely out on his feet in the second half last night and I hope he has enough time to recover.

A point would heap enormous pressure on the team. We would mostly likely be 4 points behind Arsenal kicking off against Chelsea.

Next 3 fixtures are season defining Everton, Real then Chelsea. Win all 3 and we have 3 wins for the treble.

They’ll be growing the grass and keeping it dry as we speak, expecting a low scoring win. That said a draw , beat Madrid, then hell bent for leather that last week would do me. Recover for the finals.

Midfield could be an issue Sunday. Rodri has to play then pick whoever is still standing between Gundogan, Bernardo and KDB.

I think Lewis, Laporte, Alvarez, Foden and Mahrez will all start.

If Phillips couldn't get a start against Sheff Utd in the cup, West Ham or Leeds at home then there's absolutely no chance he's starting in this game.
He might've started had Newcastle taken something off Arsenal but unfortunately they didn't so we can't risk it. I think Rodri will start with Gundogan replacing him around the hour mark.
