Golf Thread

Love the conditions and weather at the mo but it also brings out the guys who wants to bring his gran, 2 kids and dog to play so you end up taking 6 hours to get a round in.
 
Just a four more weeks to farm :-) the handicap before the annual jaunt to west coast of Ireland. Have a 36 hole weekend event at Carne with a 54 hole at Enniscrone/Carne & Rosses Point the following weekend interspersed with 18 hole open comps at Westport, Ballinrobe, Portumna and Athenry. Should lose a bit of weight and get a tan if this weather stays around.

Sounds great the stuff I've played in the west is a bit further north in Donegal which was fabulous
 


All those who turned down deals worth millions of pounds to stay with the PGA out of principal must be furious, while those who were scapegoated for taking the money will be feeling vindicated.
 
The yanks finally decided it was a good thing when they found out how much more money they could make. Complete shit show considering that the pga tour held competitions in Saudi.
 
The PGA are utter hypocrites.

McIlroy and Woods (in particular) whatever you think of them have been thrown under a bus. What's their next move?

For me 99% of people are hypocritical, if Saudi do what the American Athletic did offer journalists loads of money to report on sport for them they would all jump at the chance! Oliver Holt piece about liv merger with pga is what you would expect! If Saudi offered him 1m a year to report write about all Saudi sport you telling me he will say Nahh you alright I’ll stick to my average wage a year! Like I say all disingenuous hypocrites!
 
I am glad it will be one tour as I just want to see best players at same time compete (we need best players in ryder cup) - I watched LIV and did not like format/teams to be honest. As for DP tour it played in Saudi and no issues were raised at time. Hopefully next season we will see some great golf tournaments with all players..........I will also mention I got my 1st hole in one last week, 200 yard par 3 uphill and flag at back - registered and verified on Golf England.
