Not sure any City game will ever be as genuinely important as that game in terms of the consequences of not winning .
We do also have the matter of that little 'consolation prize' next week.
However, whilst they have scraped their way to the final (suspect decisions included,)we've battered almost everyone in our way playing a hugely enjoyable brand of exciting, attacking football and not conceded a goal.
There is still a feeling of huge injustice about that farcical goal at the swamp .We are all also sick of the constant media arse licking/cock sucking of that club and the unbelievably biased/unbalanced coverage.
This has really been ramped up this week and will only get worse if the unthinkable happens.
Do I think we'll ' really stuff em,' probably not, in truth, Cup Finals are normally quite tense and cagey (maybe perhaps not the Watford one!) You do get surprise results (Wigan against us and going back, Wimbledon against Liverpool spring to mind).
The rags aren't as bad as some like to think
but we really are a much, much better side than them and we really do need to show it today. .

Anybody know that sequence from Apollo 13? A fine film, which I’ve watched on a number of occasions, and that particular scene many times.
They’re getting suited up, before taking that lift way up to the capsule at the top of the stupendous Saturn rocket. They’re quietly chatting. But this beautiful, solemn music accompanies the scene.
That is exactly how I’m feeling now. Grave, solemn, a bit tense. Getting suited up for the ride up in the lift.

My rag neighbours have attached a mini united badge to their cats collar, and I caught it scrounging round my back garden this morning.

Decided to let the spaniel out, wearing her blue collar of course, to chase the vermin away. That's my girl.

By 'that game' I obviously mean the Gillingham match in 1999.
1999! Did another team wearing red win a couple of things that year....can't see how the media have missed that, you really thought they could have mentioned it in the last few days!!

All the pre-match bullshit as usual is about our opposition and how they can beat us , Varane and Casamiro clearly stating they do not fear us , it must be a Real Madrid thing , the cowards from Spain who were also saying how they do not fear us a couple of weeks ago and turn up and get absolutely obliterated.
If i was an opposition player i would be saying f*ck all in danger of poking bear , keep it low key show respect like we do to our opposition and pray to god that Pep and his team have a nightmare.
Patently obvious which side the media want to win and have the headlines ready , but if the Rags beat us it will be a shock on a par with Wigan beating us a decade ago , that is how superior we are to the Rags.
 
Unfortunately I do think the dark arts, ie the ref, linesmen and VAR will come into play today. Tierney shows a bias to them, Coote the same on VAR I am new to the forum- been browsing for years, so don't know/not rech savvy enough how to insert links/copy text but have a look at yesterday's footballisfixed.blog. The piece is specifically about the final.

Also mentions Utd will be doing a Dippers, possibly all suddenly got 'asthma' so will enhance performance. So Rashford likely to be faster than Red Rum. Also claims Ten Hag and some of the players deliberately threw the semi with Sevilla to avoid a game 3 days before this match. I know folk have differing views and jury out on this footballisfixed blog guy, but a fair bit of what he has written and alleged in the past seems to have been true.
Also claims a few of our guys ( who have a particular agent may not play up to standard. Hmmm not sure on that one, however).

So no matter we are the better team, the establishment, betting crooks and youshited want a red win.

We rarely get anything positive from refs so unless we have clear goals that can't be pulled back 50 moves....

For those reasons have stopped being nervous, just feel like we will be shafted. been a long week....

I do hope he is completely wrong and we shaft them but I won't hold my breath!!
 
If the unthinkable occurs and the Rags fluked a win their season would amount to a couple of domestic cup wins and finishing fourteen points behind the title winners , we would just end up with the Premier league and possibly the Champs league , beating Real Madrid and Bayern Munich along the way.
Both clubs achievements are not even comparable , if your club wins the Premier league and Champs league in the same season no other club is anywhere near you , but winning the treble shits all over the Rags and their 'istree , bring it on , lets take these f*ckers apart in their home land London and the Home Counties and the other 659m plastics watching on the telly.
