How do we resolve the Brexit mess?

whoever is cheapest. Thats the way the world has done things military for two or three decades. The last century showed that it was only a world war that that brought massive investment and innovation

The only reason I brought it up as a rebuttal was because the last and only time the US traded nuclear submarine technology was with the UK in 1959. So I wasn’t really sure what point blueinsa was trying to make….

Did I see a poll that says every UK constituency now has a majority that thinks Brexit was a mistake?

Maybe not yet for rejoining, but would this frighten the horses? Forget the stupid nonsense about divergence from EU regulations, which are mostly for our protection, and help our exporters.

"
Beneficial Alignment
While staying outside of the EU Single Market and Customs Union, there is nothing to be lost, and everything to be gained, by the UK aligning with EU standards and regulations. The UK should, however, also use its new freedoms to diverge where it is beneficial to do so, while acknowledging costs where they arise.
"In doing so, the UK Government would be following what many British businesses will be doing anyway, because they will not be able to sell in the EU market otherwise. Providing this greater predictability regarding the UK’s regulatory foundation will be extremely important in attracting investment. It would also make achieving an SPS/veterinary agreement with the EU easier."
