How do some people still not understand a squad system and rotation, we've had pep for years now. Amazing.
No it wouldnt. How do some people not understand that the squad won't be any stronger but our bank balance and ability to operate within FFP for the rest of the season would become more difficult?
anybody know if this was really posted

Obviously he wouldn't, nor would he replace Stones. So if we buy him it would be because Pep thinks he can play further forward.
I’m not sure where you’ve got the impression that Rice isn’t a great player. He still has a fair bit to go before he reaches his ceiling but I’ve no doubt under Peps guidance he would be another in a long list of unfancied signings that prove many people wrong. How do some people not understand that the squad won't be any stronger but our bank balance and ability to operate within FFP for the rest of the season would become more difficult?
If we play 57-8 games next season, that's 115 gamesIf we play 57-8 games next season, that's 115 games for the positions of Rodri and Stones. Plus Stones may be used as a typical CB to rotate Akanji/Dias. I don't think Pep will start regularly both Rodri and Stones in their current positions plus Rice in Gundo's role. But he won't need to because he can give many starts to Rice anyway.
In short: Rice can start about 40 games next to Rodri/Stones. That's more than enough for a 1st season under Pep.
So he would replace Rodri ?

I think the manager knows enough about footballers, and the executives enough about running a football club that we don't have to second guess transfers any more.
The latest Pep vision seems to be focused on attacking while erecting a brick wall for other teams to penetrate.Rice, Gvardiol and Kovacic? Looks like we are getting bigger lads into the first team.
Was Rodri good enough in his first season? And he's clearly not miles off our standard if you've actually seen him play.He wouldn't be a backup.
That's the worrying thing. He's nowhere near good enough to be a first team player for us. Miles off our standard.
Might as well close the transfer section down, since Txiki and Pep knows best, whats the point of fans having opinions about transfers anymore? ”What do I think about this player? Dont know, have to ask Txiki first since his opinion is apparently also my opinion”We won a treble 5 days ago.

There's nothing wrong with questioning Pep's logic, but there's nothing wrong with telling people they haven't got a fucking clue, because we all have opinions, just some opinions are best kept to yourselfUnbelievable achievement but I don't think it necessarily means us fans can't ever question any logic in his transfer policy for the rest of his time here. Particularly so when we're talking record breaking fees or near to for a player we know a fair bit about. If he signs for 100 million and works out a treat, I'll be delighted to be proven wrong. Until then, it's just a fans forum and everyone will hold their opinion.

Txiki and pep do know best, some random baggage handlers opinion means fuck all, and some opinions aren't worth posting, but people think they know better and post shite anyway so they are rightly told that their opinion is of no consequenceMight as well close the transfer section down, since Txiki and Pep knows best, whats the point of fans having opinions about transfers anymore? ”What do I think about this player?
