But surely if those that normally go to these sort of games all boycott it, they’ll just be replaced by the thousands who are desperate to watch any City match, but can never get a ticket, due to the high pointers who monopolise most allocations?

You think an English football tradition that has 125 years of history and a beautiful trophy should be scrapped?

I think it should be played at different venues to Wembley (with a Manchester v London tie this year it should be somewhere like Coventry), but this trophy/fixture should never be scrapped. Even though I disagree with it being at Wembley, I always enjoy it.

Every single club in Europe has this and their equivalent on their honours lists.

Plus the money you think is a con is distributed to community initiatives and FA related charities all in England and Wales.
If every club in the premier league has a charitable arm, ie.City in the Community and the attendance appeal doesn't heavily favor neutrals, why not hold it at the stadium of the club that finished in the lowest position without being relegated. Split the proceeds 3 ways amongst the charitable arms of those three teams, there by taking the distribution of the funds out of the FA's hands entirely. The reason I suggest the 17th placed club is since they were that bad they obviously would not have shared in any of the previous seasons prize money, giving their selected charities a financial boost.

Booked the train after getting the notification they were on sale at lunchtime. Booked Warrington to Euston return for £42.

Half hour later they confirmed kick off time.

Nice fishing

Already decided I wouldn’t go and that’s if it was a Saturday but a Sunday at that time is fucking ridiculous, be lucky to sell 20k

Need to send a strong message to the fa that this shit will not stand.

Would like the club to do the same, but they've not said a peep about Istanbul and they won't days anything about this either.

We haven't got that kind of fanbase, despite what people think we are still a very local club, things like the Champions league final would sell out if we didn't go, a glorified friendly won't imho

Why can’t the 1st team play the 1st team squad/EDS at the Etihad in-front of a 54,000 City fans?

Why the fuck should Arsenal get a chance to win another trophy because they finished 2nd in the PL?

Dont expect anything from the club. They stopped caring for the individual fan long ago

True. But Pep and the players do care. This season has brought us closer together. Outside of Pep, players and the coaching staff, the people running the club are business people doing their job, regardless if they support City or not.

It’s a traditional curtain raiser that’s been at Wembley since 1974.
don’t have an issue with it being at Wembley, I may even go.
plus be funny singing to Arsenal “you nearly won the
league”

That’s got to be one of the biggest fuck you’s ever by the FA, Sunday at 5.30pm vs local London opposition, what a joke.

Now would be the time to stand up and boycott it, make a point. We always moan about the semis at Wembley but for those games we’ll always sell 75-90% as a minimum as they mean something, this is a glorified friendly - fuck the FA.

Yeah and Manchester officially became a county and stopped being classed as Lancashire in 1974 and I still don't recognise/agree with that, so Wembley being a fixture since then means fuck all to me ;-)
