Quite a good recovery from 119-5. As I said, Surrey have had a number of sides in precarious positions this summer yet have continually failed to press home the advantage. The bowling attack seems weaker this year, maybe missing Overton’s aggression.

After the draw at Old Trafford in April, this has the makings of another good game. Both sides had their opponent on the ropes (Lancashire were 119-5 and Surrey 107-5) but neither bowling unit appears capable of finishing the tail.
