I'd like to see us get a lead well in excess of 250. However, with rain forecast tomorrow we could perhaps lose 40 or 50 overs so unless Australia skittle us in the meantime, if we can keep scoring at 4 or 5 runs per over I wouldn't be surprised to see another declaration from Stokes before tea

IMO beauty of Baz ball is not so much that it’s exciting cricket, it’s that by scoring so fast they create so much more time in the game.
Having enough time to take 20 wickets is one of the biggest challenges in test cricket especially in an English summer with weather, and baz ball effectively gives you an extra session or 2.
They’ve probably saved 25 overs in this match already.

Yeah fair enough but he’s still averaging 47 batting at 3 over 23 innings now with 3 centuries and 4 fifties (can you tell I’ve got cricinfo up).
He’s still learning the position having played most of his test matches at 5,6 & 7 plus he’s only 25 so well worth the investment if he can get a bit more consistent we will have a number 3 for the next 10 years.
Just seen on the BBC sport live feed he averages just under 48 in the first innings but 16 in the second. A huge variation! Agree though, he's an excellent player with a good average and enormous potential. That ball he got was a beauty, and when you're looking to play aggressive cricket it's going to bowl you!

I cant see any changes being made to the batting line up for the next test, as much as some here detest certain players they are encouraged to play with no fear and are rewarded in knowing no knee jerk reactions will be taken if it doesn't work out .
Bowling however is another matter we may go with no spinners at Lords. However, if we were to chose one Rehan Ahmed would offer some mystery but I can't see him being given another chance during the ashes due to his inexperience. Which really only leaves us with Liam Dawson and Will Jack's.
I'd expect us to replace Mo with Wood unless it seems that a spinner is needed

Good spell from Cummins. Hopefully that’s him off now until after lunch.
Another 150 or so runs and I’d give us the edge in this game. The big concern is Moeen Ali. Where’s Graeme Swann when you need him?
A 250 lead would be great. I'd also like to see us punish the bowling attack as much as possible. Give them something to think about.
Moeen injury is a concern. Who comes in for him?

If Mo can't bowl it has to be Ahmed in my opinion. I don't think Stokes will care about inexperience. It's about confidence in this side. I would bring Woakes in for Lords, replacing Anderson or Broad. Probably the former.
