One of Wirtz or Szobo. They can both start as RWs, and move to the middle later on.

I expect we’ll see more from Alvarez next season because last season he played constantly from July until June. Foden hopefully will have recovered from his ankle issues. Both are very direct and goal threats but not creators as such.

The 2 issues we have is that firstly KDB is 32, Mahrez is 32 and Gundogan has moved. That’s a huge amount of craft ageing or gone. That needs to replaced. Kovacic will take up similar positions to Gundogan but lacks his goals. Secondly Rodri needs cover, Phillips doesn’t offer that. He had 4 starts across all competitions last season and Pep clearly doesn’t rate him. He has the worst first season of any of Pep’s signings.
 
There really isn´t a better midfielder available for 100m pounds than Rice? im pretty sure there is.
 
0% worried on missing out on Rice. Bellingham was a bummer but from what I have learned with our team, Pep just makes it work. That said Rice does make Arsenal better.

Not quite the same player mate and it seems the Pep felt he could make Rice a more box to box midfielder?
