Funny that hey
I was one of the few who were confident in January that we were going to win all the titles and I am always one of the few who laughs on matchdays on all the desperation when we don't score in the first 10 min. Go ahead and look at my post history. Anyway, at least I give arguments, answer these 2 things:

Are we a better squad now than 1 month ago?
Are the others better squads than one month ago?

The answer to both is obvious, and the conclusion is only one: we are having the worst transfer seasons SO FAR. Nothing to be scared for the next season, but it is the truth right now.

Perhaps change your name to City Worrier, while it's the transfer window.

I think some annoyance with our transfers this season is understandable. Every team in the big 7(including Newcastle now) and even Aston Villa are having some really good transfers, and all of them now have a better team than last season. We don't. And the rumours for our outgoings are taking way too long, and we barely have any rumors of exciting players coming our way.

Arsenal: Havertz and Rice + Timber are all exciting players.
Chelsea: Some amazing outgoings and they have Nkunku coming and maybe Caicedo.
United: Mount- Bruno - Casemiro is a really strong midfield. They are also trying to bring Onana who is a really good GK + rumors on Caicedo and Kane.
Liverpool: MacAllister and Szoboszlai are two very solid signings
Newcastle: Tonalli is an amazing signing.
Tottenham: Kulusevski + Maddison is solid.
Aston Villa: Pau Torres is really good, Tielemans is solid.
Bayern: Guerreiro and Laimer are solid, Min is really exciting, selling Lucas for 50m with only 1 year of contract is really good.
Barca: Adding Gundogan is amazing, Martinez is solid, and they are close to having Brozovic.
Madrid: Bellingham, and waiting for Mbappe.

All of these teams are stronger now. Of course, it's still early in the market, but we certainly haven't had a good start.
Dear oh dear. It's not a race to sign players first

Sorry did we not just win a treble....

You said we havnt had a good start... irs fucking june
.
.that in its self doesn't even deserve a reply

yes, so far its not great, but very early in the window.

lets get Gvardiol in (unless we we walk away if they try to milk us which case I hope we already have plan B ready to go), lets get some proper replacements for Maresca and Rodolfo and all of a sudden it will look much better and then try not to lose Walker and Bernardo.

bit worried on Bernardo, he is so useful, can be used in multiple positions we can even afford KDB having a rubbish 3-4 months during the season if Bernardo is around. very hard to replace like for like, no similar player in the market with his technical skills and workrate and pressing skills.

We did the same with Kovacic. If the release clause was active we would do the same with Gvardiol.

Well I'm a longstanding poster and there is something in City Warrior's post. On paper there have been some interesting signings, especially the Arse and LiVARpool. Might or might not work out on the pitch but at least some of our challengers will be a bit stronger.
What happens to us who knows, too early to tell and experience says we're usually pretty fucking good but there are a couple of things for me.
1. It's highly unlikely we will be as good as last season. For all sorts of reasons so for every fanny wipe there's an entitled fan expecting 3 or more trophies. Hope it happens but history says unlikely.
2. Frankly, we were a hit lucky with injuries last season considering the amount of big games played. Of course its part down to the medical department but also down to luck - we may nit be so lucky this time so maybe we need a bit more depth and quality to the squad? I don't know but we are already without KDB for a while.
3. Sad to lose Gundo but relatively happy with Kovacic. However with Dias, Stones, Ake, Akanji,Laporte and Walker all able to lay in a 3 or 4 and have massive just won the treble and all at a good age - why thd fhck spend £80mill on Gvardiol?
4. We surely cannot rely so much on Rodri next season - what's the plan?
5. Big question marks over Gomez and especially Phillips but is Pep going to use Cole, McAtee and Doyle more?
6. KDB and possibly Bernardo are not long term first teamers for us - hopefully next year for Bernardo but who are the long term replacements? Presumably Phil but who then is thd new Phil and Bernardo.
7. If Pep is leaving in 2 years then that may bd a factor in squad planning during this year.
So I am not a fanny wipe but a realist and I don't think we will have it our own way next season

A few questions for all the flappers on here :

1. Which club has got the best manager?

2. Which club has got the best squad?

3. Which club has got the best academy?

4. Which club has got the most money to spend?

5. Which club has the best technical staff?

6. Which club are in the best position to win the major trophies next year?

7. Are there any teams is in a better position than us?

With almost 2 more months to go for the transfer window to close, we don't need to worry much about the structure of our or our rival's squads right now. Our rivals have started strongly and have recruited well, but we must remember that they are the ones who are under pressure. They are the ones who are chasing the treble winners. They have to act swiftly and act wisely. Still with all the prospective names floating around for our rivals, they still have issues to sort out. Arsenal still have the soft core , Dippers still have their defensive issues, Rags are still shit, who knows what happens with Chelsea.

The transfer market is also a bit chaotic right now and we don't do things chaotically. Not our style.
Observing, calculating, predicting, we are the masters of this game and has the pedigree to prove it. Anybody who thinks City are working without a plan or strategy don't have a clue how we operate.

Personally, I am very excited about next season's prospects and challenges. The challengers have improved, that will keep us on our toes and doing the 4-peat will keep us motivated enough. We will be fine even if the transfer window closes with only 1 incoming and 1 outgoing.

Keep BELIEVING!!
MCFC OK

Happens every window.

"Why don't we just pay what they want?"

"United/Liverpool/Chelsea have just walked in and wrapped up a deal in 12.7 seconds, ffs"

"Txiki doesn't know what he's doing"

Do you know what happens every May? We win the league.

You might be right but we see similar posts every summer, poster thinking everyone has had a better window than us,the we’ll be fighting for top 4 posts, then it turns out they haven’t, some of others signings turn out to be shit, and we do just fine. Maybe this season will be different, doubt theres any panic going on in the club though, so I won’t be concerning myself either.
If fans don’t trust the club now they never will.

It's still June, we just won the treble, and everyone is still freaking out. I love it
I find it odd how focused some on the site are on the tone of the site. It doesn't really matter if people are positive or negative on here what will be will be. Txiki will either succeed or fail on the back of his own decisions. The posters on here won't dictate the direction of travel one way or another.
