I think he looks really good, great dribbler, good passing, eye for a goal, gets stuck in. With Jota and probably Abada leaving he has a chance to make an impact band claim a jersey. Indeed. The fact that you have rewarded him with a five-year contract suggests, to me, that Celtic recognise that he is a player to develop, especially as both parties are guarding the price paid. I would imagine he will have a mixed first season, with starts and substitute appearances, and that you will then progressively see him improve In seasons 2 and 3. And the signing is a result of Ange getting gems from other leagues that we can afford, so this is a model we will continue with. If Rogers didn’t want the lad he wouldn’t be here. Longer contracts also add a little insurance to the moving player, particularly when they’re coming from entirely different cultures and where both parties know they might need time to develop.
