I am not sure , i think i read that if he turns the phone on the security services will know so he cant do that hence going to court to fight it, he lost so i assume he can have the phone seized ?

Not much can be deleted these days. It’s all there floating around somewhere in cloud land waiting to be pulled back when the authorities need it.
I learnt to never ever write or say anything incriminating on a mobile a long time ago... :-)
