Kyle Walker

Kyle is a unique player, a leader, and an important member of our squad - but if the deal Bayern are offering is for three years, I’d rather we didn’t match it and let him go.

Same as we did with Gundo.

He’d need replacing at some point over the next year or two anyway - so if that needs to be this summer, so be it!

We must refresh and sign a replacement though - I’m good with Ake as our starting left back, but we clearly need a proper right back to enable us to mix up it up at the back.

Going all CBs for the whole season limits us hugely!

Wonder if this is a result of levy and bayerns meeting yesterday. Maybe Kane is going to them after all and he wants something new with his mate.

Any obvious right back choices out there?

Calling bs but part of me thinks Walker may know his time may be limited with Pep playing CB across the backline.

I’d keep Walker 100%, but interesting where this ends up.

Another centre half!!! Gvardiol and another centre half- double down on the system

From the BBC

Manchester City defender Kyle Walker wants to stay at Pep Guardiola's side instead of moving to Bayern Munich, according to Bild.

The 33-year-old was in talks with Thomas Tuchel's team but it's been reported after conversations with his family England international Walker wants to stay in England.

Kyle has one job left to do in our team that no one else can (not talking about his appendage displays) and we will eventually come up against Vinicus/Mbappe/other speed merchants. again. I'm not worried at this point, but I assume the management have a plan for this and replacing Gundy's big game goals.

He’s reportedly already been offered an extension from us and had the offer from Bayern. The new report from Germany just now says he has given Bayern a yes today. We’re past the point of leveraging
Probably its a yes he's happy with what's been offered and he's also said yes to city... just needs to decide which... but then the big stumbling block will be the german rags actually coughing up a realistic transfer fee

Don't know if Kyle's thinking it but in buisness move it would be good for him, he's been doing punditry a few times. If he goes to Germany wins a few bundesligas or German cups. He'd get to do the Bayern games as well as English ones after he retires if he goes into punditry.

Yeah there’s no other team in the league who have a defensive cover against the counter like Kyle Walker, it’s a proper asset for us and especially in top CL games (a couple of PSG ones and Real Madrid spring to mind), so agree they need to replace that within the squad
