Benjamin Pavard

Maybe he wants to leave if his current club wouldn’t meet his demands. I’d give Walker a 2 year deal if that’s all it would take to keep Bayern away. Pavard has some good qualities but Walker is the best in the world at what he does best.

You cannot just carelessly lose such a player. People forget how our defense broke down and lost to Real Madrid with about 5 minutes to go two years ago when Walker got injured. On the way to the UCL finals, Kyle was very key in nullifying the best wide attackers. If I’m letting him go, I’d be pushing to sign a certain caliber of players and Benjamin Pavard is not in that bracket.
Haven’t seen enough of Pavard to really have an opinion. If he is not up to the mark, who would be?

Cannot put a cross in.

Suspicious trouble maker history in the dressing room.

Defending so so.

I would rather to sign either a younger player with potential or a more skilled player with PL experience.

I don't see anything special from Pavard.
You make him Sound like an inferior version of Canselo.

Not a fan of French players, seem problematic to me.
General Webb ”… because the French haven't the nature for war. Their Gallic laziness combines with their Latinate voluptuousness with the result that they would rather eat and make love with their faces than fight.” (Last of the Mohicans)

Doesn't the fact that we maybe interested not shoot your argument down somewhat?

I may be wrong but I think those you mention missing games was because of form, not style of play. I think Kyle knows he has limitations in the way Pep wants him to play and that may be key to him thinking of going.
Can't have been ecstatic to be pretty much told that by Pep too - and to have it aired in a press conference.
Pep's man management was odd last season with the above, and calling Phillips out on his weight. But we won 3 trophies, so that's his choice

It seems odd we are booting Cancelo out for attitude issues and we are seemingly interested in a player that allegedly has similar issues.

A lot of people saying not good enough or no thanks; I’m genuinely interested why? I can’t remember if he played against us- did he play poorly
Grealish ran circles around him all game at the etihad. in munich he just chose to constantly foul grealish

I added the "allegedly" because I know sweet FA about this player apart from what I have read and when I watched us play vs him so I could be barking up the wrong tree as I am just reacting to what I have read from others

I think he is pretty similar to Mendy at Real and White at Arsenal, not useful in the final third (other than the odd banger, like last season again), otherwise I rate him though and hes very versatile.

Bayern willing to swap a 33yo with a 27 yo means that they don't rate Pavard much. If he was half-decent Bayern would demand at least 60-70 million for him.

What's his attitude issues?
From a German website, allegedly - The 26-year-old, a veteran of the triumph in 2018 (World Cup), is accused of making inappropriate remarks about his teammates, creating a toxic atmosphere in the dressing room, arguing with Didier Deschamps and the coaching staff, and even leaking details to the press.
...reports said that the right-back was not trusted by his fellow players. Then there was the verbal spat with Paul Pogba, which happened in public. Meanwhile, while not directly related to the dressing room issues, Pavard did get busted for drunk-driving by the Munich police earlier in the year.
