You wouldn’t think we’ve done a treble if you take a look at twitter because the meltdown is actually embarrassing. Let the window pan out. It’s like if we don’t do it we’ll get relegated. Most of the exits were expected and ones we’ve known of for a while. We will get it sorted and yet again a lot of people will look like fools come April/May when Pep finds a solution again lol.
There is a lot of meltdown going on because people have an unrealistic expectation of links and negotiations happening in the open, or even before departures are made clear. So they become afraid we have nothing going on.

What I will say, however, is that there is a risk if we don’t do things right not of relegation, but of struggling to finish in the top 4. The level of the PL is incredibly high and a lot of teams have new energy and are excited with their ambitions for the coming season. Nothing will fall on our laps by inertia.

There is about two months of the transfer window left we be fine as always when we have Pep

How some people on here function in tough life situations is beyond me.

Is it entirely possible Kovacic is our only signing if there are no exits and Walker extends?

It would be the third time under Pep we signed only one player in a summer window (Grealish and Mahrez). So not entirely shocking or unprecedented.

But I would doubt it, personally.

Walker Mahrez Bernardo Laporte all needs a proper replacement… the money from this seasons triumphs needs to go into the squad… why sell these youngsters if you aren’t gonna use it to keep the actual money-maker churning… and no, Palmer, McAtee or Lewis can replace these players NOW.

Let's not forget we have two first team coaching posts which I assume will have to be filled at some point. Lots for Txiki to be working on this summer

It’s mid July… things are going a bit slow, let’s be honest here.
We don't get going until round about this point in most Summer windows. If we have still only signed Kovacic by the time the charity shield starts and we've lost a couple of players then it will be a bit of a concern. Maybe Sheikh Mansour now wants a return on his initial investment in the club and it's now paying dividends big time

I'm almost certain they have Lilo and his right hand man done deals. I'd expect to see them announced for Monday unless lilo has to lie low after breaking his contract in Qatar

Seems no real panic around it.

When will people learn. Twitter, all these IKN's, all these football sites, even sky sports have no issue sending out a tweet, story or report saying City interested in Kaka then there's absolutely no comeback for them when it's proven to be a non story. Their job was to get clicks and they did their job. No one ever goes ah, wait, they were looking for clicks, they think oh that didn't work out. Thus the cycle of disappointment continues. Then they or someone else does the same and everyone clicks that lonk and once again begins the cycle.

It's the football transfer market equivalent of clicking on "Hot milfs in your area" links.

Call it post treble delirium but we have been a little slow and unpredictable in the market.

Jude was a sure possibility. But after he said yes to Madrid we should have swiftly shifted to our second target- Rice
Waiting for Gundogan to decide and then going for Rice at the last moment isn’t good planning irrespective of what we won last season.

This Walker to Bayern news and sudden interest in Pavard doesn’t seem like “City type of planning”. We normally do our homework in advance.

B.Silva situation is also a bit iffy.
Looks like Pep wants him but the board is okay either way and expects a big fees.
Mendes can’t bring that esp from the club Silva really wants aka Barcelona and this drags on.
