Well, despite the best efforts of the 1894 group, and other fans sympathetic to this boycott, it would appear to be a sell out; perhaps in more ways than one!

As I had said there was 'no chance' this could happen, and true to my word, I will donate £100 to a charity to be chosen by @Corky. The Foodbank would be handy mind!

In many ways it's a watershed moment, and perhaps we long term Seasoncard holders now realise for certain, that we are not as vital to the club as we may have believed. Likewise the club may now see this as showing the potential to expand the stadium even further and faster than already planned.

Exciting times?
Worrying times?
Changing times?

Or perhaps just time to step aside and let those who've never experienced what this club have given me in 45 years of supporting, sample it more regularly for themselves!

You are an honourable man. You're also capable of stepping back and looking at the big picture. I think you're probably right in your last sentence, as it happens.
But rather than stepping aside — why not think of ourselves as potentially accompanying them?
Even had I not been on holiday, I would not have gone on the principle that it should have been held at a neutral ground in, say, the midlands (Villa Park?). I do believe that, firmly. But the plain fact is that for a young lad or lass going for their first time to Wembley, it's significantly more exciting for them to go down to London to a world-famous stadium. If their parents can afford it — and always assuming that they're not already in London, or the south-east. Because there's going to be more and more of those, and that's just how it is.
Myself? I'm afraid I'm so old that I'll never get as excited by the first glimpse of the stadium from the tube or whatever as I was by the first glimpse of the twin towers one. But that's just an FOC point of view…

Actually, I mean the bit about accompanying literally. I would willingly be a godfather to a young City fan whose parents could not, for one reason or another, take them to Wembley. If they were ok with it, and they'd obviously have to vet me first. I don't say I'd do it often, but I'd do it once or twice. I never had such a “godfather” — no City supporters in my family — and I sometimes wish I had had.

Away from the debate, where is everyone not going watching it? Band on the wall is sold out seemingly

I just can't believe we've sold 30k tickets for this, nobody is arsed and a boycott yet it's sold.out? I'm afraid I have to see this with my own eyes, I know the fanbase has grown but fuck me, this is mad.

Muffin
I sort of feel like this myself, until I see a full end on TV (because I’m not going myself) I can’t believe we have sold 30k + tickets for this.

No you just believe any old shite any **** tells you

Why didn't they get 3 in the Arsenal end? Can't see the game being high demand.

Fuck me what is wrong with you people.

They are not Arsenal season ticket holders but we’re offered tickets by a City season ticket holder.

Last post on this subject as there are way too many wankers replying.

Ive been to Wembley with City too many times to actually count since 1970, lots of ST holders are obviously the same. I will be at the CS but I can guarantee lots of those who have managed to get tickets and are visiting for the first time will be a lot more excited than the likes of me. I wouldn’t be surprised if the atmosphere in the City end will be a lot better with newbies as opposed to loads who find Wembley visits a bit same old same old.

Unbelievable atmosphere at our end at the F.A. Cup final, but that was very different, of course. Wouldn't have missed it for worlds, even if the match wasn't exactly a classic.

Allegedly they are getting banners made mocking our anticipated low support
Arsenal fans put up the worst attendance I’ve ever seen for a PL game when we went there in 2018. It wasn’t the lowest attendance the PL has seen, but it was the most pathetic.

Biggest club South of Greater Manchester in the country, third best supported club in England, London’s biggest club, at home against the best team in the league who they’d just lost to a few days before at Wembley where they could have given us some payback and they came out with this shit:

IMG_3841.jpeg

Arsenal can never, ever say anything about City’s support! The soft Cockney Arsebottom Army Herberts.

Asburton Antisemitic Arsehole Army, to give them their full title.
Nobody should ever promote those anti-Semitic cunts on here.

There is a fan group called The Jewish Gooners and they’re after getting the Arsebottom Army banned from the Emirates. There was a Jewish Arsenal fan who was part of that sad-act Euro copycat group and they’ve said the anti-semitism is rife amongst them.

I wonder what the Arse will do with their banners now?

They as a club should be embarrassed that they are even playing this fixture. It would make mor3 sense to play the Rags given they actually won a cup last season.

In future if a club wins both major domestic trophies they should get to choose who they play against.
It should definitely be United we’re playing. At least those cunts won something.
