I guess you missed the memo but Foden is playing centrally next season, Palmer is off on loan and McAtee is coming to mostly cover centrally.
 
This thread & other tfr threads gone mad today, just catching up. It’s mad how often one 24/7 poster posts here but that aside it’s great to see Blues gearing up for what should hopefully be an exciting time ahead.

As many have said it’ll be interesting who is on the plane tomorrow, or who is not. All eyes on Bernardo out of the players rumoured to go (Laporte, Mahrez, Walker).

It’s going to have to be direct replacements because you cannot go into a season with more games with less players than last season. Zero chance, regardless if he likes smaller squads or not.
 
Just hope that Pep doesn't think the squad Isn't hungry enough anymore, because he's said In the past before he renewed his contract, that If the players loose their hunger, their desire then he will walk away, potentially loosing half a team could make him rethink his position.
 
I believe Valverde would be the ideal replacement if Berna leaves. He would take up the same position on the right as Berna did last season. As for the midfield, Kova would fill in Gundi's role in the middle, I suppose.

Maybe just me it doesn’t worry, Berny spent more time on the right than in midfield, a position Foden can fill no problem. Foden spent most of last season just filling in for Grealish,a waste of his talents. So as long as we can get someone in that can take Mahrez’s minutes on the right and Fodens on the left I think we’re covered for Bernardo leaving by Foden I think he has the same versatility as Bernardo both in midfield and wide right..they’ve both even played left back:)
