Laporte hits a great long ball, but other than that, he's slow and no more than reasonable as a defender imo. He's fifth choice for a reason.

Stones is an absolutely top class footballer. Again, just my opinion.

This, absolutely. Laporte has a decent diagonal ball but has the touch of an elephant. Can’t pass for shit. Stones is an exceptional footballer..

Whoever comes back to any of the top 5 leagues Is going to have drastically reduce their wage demands, because no team In Europe Is going to match those kind of wages.

Agreed. Even if mbappe did go to saudi on an initial year thinking he’d then go to madrid theyd just offer even more for the second year and would be even harder to say no

Laporte has been decent for us, yes. Definitely not super, can’t see many being arsed if he moves on. He doesn’t seem bowled over by offers from other teams does he? Maybe he is not as highly regarded as you think?

I don’t disagree, he’s a decent player, just not at Stones level. I too will be happy if he stays. He has limitations but so do all but the absolute elite. He’s a very fine backup as he was last year, as demonstrated by Pep. I’m in no rush to see him replaced..

All players the clubs wanted to sell though. Newcastle obviously wanted to sell ASM for a while. Wolves have money issues so would be happy to take a good fee from anywhere. Malcolm bought out of the ruSSian league on It's arse. It's not like Saudi are turning the heads of top players in their pomp, that clubs really don't want to lose.
