I think he would be a decent player second time round for us. It would appear he wants to get back here, and if he did I think the desire to prove himself and to rectify the mistake of leaving would unlock a new level a motivation for him. This I think would mean a great player for us.

I, like many , really want Palmer to succeed at City but he has not got anywhere near the levels Sane reached playing for City. That said Sane did not consistently hit his top level and did not deliver on his full potential. A very good player who looked as though he was going to be World Class but has not got there. Palmer I suspect will be a very good player with games and confidence and time. He might not get enough of those at City.As much as I want Palmer to do well at City he still has way to go to match what Sane had done at City.
