After his behaviour that's the least he should expect..I don't want cancello anywhere near the, squad by the end of the transfer window
Forgiveness can be a powerful weapon; why shouldn’t he be given a second chance? We have nothing to lose as any shenanigans he can go train with the kids until Jan or alternatively he knuckles down and realises he was a tit…

I don't think Mahrez will be replaced and I'm ok with that. We need to create space for Foden to be in this team consistently - having one less in the forward positions gives us that option. We also have a bunch of talented kids that need to be getting onto the bench and then into games.

I believe in his ability to coach and improve the players and we need to be patient I think.

My biggest worry is we start next season with the complacency we showed at the beginning of last. This is always the big test of successful teams especially in a competitive league
I thought we started well! We got stiffed at anfield by var & if KDB had clipped the Brentford players legs we could easily of gone to the WC undefeated, we certainly weren’t complacent (barring the second half of the derby) Arsenal set a ferocious pace, but like an 800m runner that goes all out in the first lap, they blew up. We paced our season perfectly, we do the same this season & we’ll be there or thereabouts

If we do not replace goals from the wing then we will be tactically figured out by other teams and they will shut down Haaland more effectively. not replacing mahrez is asking for failure in this season. we might even go trophyless for such a mistake.

Mahrez scored 5 in the league, i think we got that covered.

15 in all competitions, to be fair. The guy averaged around 1 in 3 for us over his City career.

Those numbers aren't to be scoffed at.
His assists will be harder imo, the goals were mostly statpads recently *ducks*.

This window has been sluggish and right now the only inference I would make is we are definitely not stronger that last year.

The club who just won a treble deserves to take their time with the transfers but I see only one problem with leaving things late.

Imho there might be just 20-25 players in the world who would improve us.
We just won the fucking treble. How do you improve that! Leaving late means of the 5-6 transferable targets we had, two are already not available. Rice and Jude.
Gvordial is taking its time. Mahrez just left and I don’t think there are many targets who can replace the world class talent of Mahrez unless Vini wanna leave Madrid.

And ofcourse City will have to pay an exorbitant fee. If we are targeting a prodigal player who is going to improve an all winning team like City, he is not gonna be cheap.
Madrid paid Dortmund a stupid fee. Maybe Jude is just worth it!

Today City are not stronger than last season, that can’t really be argued but fully believe by the time the window closes we will be stronger.
I just hope he don’t sign Sane, absolute no no, and thankfully it seems City won’t be going there.
Gvardiol and a wide man (not a winger necessarily), and we’re good to go.

I would agree with this. For example, who the hell replaces Mahrez? Szoboszlai was a good shout, but he is gone now. Wirtz is unavailable. There are few few people in world football actually good enough to improve us long-term, so leaving things late is not ideal. Every 48 hours we keep on hearing how Gvardiol is a done deal, but he is still not with us. Let's see what we do in August.

Walker?

Lost Gundogan's goal and assist output as well.

Those two got us 46 goals contributions last season (goals and assists).

The way I look it right now is that of Haaland gets closed off we are going to hugely struggle next season in those games where it is tight.

Kova, Foden, KDB, Grealish, Silva, Palmer, Bobb, McAtee getting 2 more goals & Assists covers that. Easy demandable from the standards really. I agree another in the mix with some proven output would help, but I wouldnt panic, the season we played Silva in a more attacking midfield role in 18/19 he put up 27 g/a.

Who is this mysterious wide man?
