I get the viewpoint of trust the club, let’s wait and see where we’re at when the window closes, we just won the treble, etc, etc. but then the transfer forum probably isn’t for you, all the people coming to these threads effectively saying shut up is so pointless

I thin the squad much more of need of a top CM operator or a winger that can score goals. I do think we can go into next season with what we have in defence and do very well. but losing Gundo and Mahrez and Kovacic is the only new face so far.

there was a fucking reason to be going for Bellingham or Rice probably Pep thought what we have is not enough.

currently we really need Haaand to put in another 50+ goals season and still we losing lots of goals from Gundo-Mahrez

I can only assume we're waiting to tie this Gvardiol deal up before letting Laporte go. If Laporte is staying though, the Gvardiol transfer makes little sense

Why? Our net spend last couple of years and prize money has been superb nothing to do with FFP.

its squad space thats playing a role in my opinon we have 2 spaces currently. Until others such as laporte. cancelo and perrone have gone either on loan or sold.

I expect things will really ramp up when we get home

The player we target is normally high value. Look at gvardiol. The one in one out policy is another indication. The whole no value in the market is a ruse. Plenty of players we could be targeting. Mahrez is certainly replaceable. Gundo probably not.

Someone said it earlier, we have plenty of good players but not enough match winners. They cost a lot of money unfortunately.

The financial microscope is on us like a rash.

The squad is fantastic but we lack a creative player. Games would be won so much easier. Haaland’s ability’s are wasted in some games.

Pep said we waiting on a few to leave would also suggest financial restraint.

Going to take a random guess and say this deal is off for now.
RB seem in no rush to sell, Laporte to be kept a year and we will go in again for this lad January or next summer.
