Surely he didn’t play so slow at Leeds, watched him countless times walking. I think he feels his time is up. Kovacic will step in for rodri pushing him again back down the pecking order.
 
Why is everyone hell bent on piling on Kalvin phillips?
Can’t we talk about other players, it just gets boring as it seems everything bad about Man city is only Kalvin phillips.

Grealish, Rico and Dias all poor today.Phillips was poor but at least talk about the people that committed the errors leading to goals.
 
I don't know how anyone can keep defending him now? I'm not saying he is a bad player but he does not fit our style of play one bit. Just admit we made a mistake and sell him and buy a replacement so Rodri can have at least some breaks this season.
 
When an opposition player goes past him he just gives up and makes no effort to try to regain possession or even make things slightly awkward for him.

It's extremely difficult to see how he can improve to become mediocre even...

Sorry that was absolutely shite today.

It’s unfair on the others around him to expect their game to be ok when your DM is that out of touch with all aspects of the game.
 
We could put anyone in Rodri position and would look poor! Problem is he aint going to get much if any game time again this season..

Grealish did what Grealish does. Dias was fine first half until the changes. Rico is young and playing out of position so can be excused. Phillips was a big money signing who should be at the peak of his career age wise. He hasn’t had a good game, hasn’t had a good half, hasn’t even had a good 5 minutes for us in 12+ months. Nice lad but he’s not good enough and that’s the long and short of it

I honestly don’t think his Leeds time shows us anything. They were tactically all over the place under Bielsa. The season they beat us 2-1 at home, we should have been 10-0 up because they were so wide open but Leeds were like that under him.

I’m not sure how he ever got picked for England but it has to be those England performances that made us go after him. However, those England performances came in a side that tried to win every game 1-0 and thankfully we are nothing like that.

I never saw the attraction when we bought him and I certainly don’t see it now. Unfortunately it looks like we are stuck with him.

Those 3 players have been consistently good throughout the full season. Phillips is yet to have a good game for City. I’m usually quite patient with new signings, but Phillips just looks miles off. Doesn’t even look like he’s arsed
 
He's the kid in the playground at school who you had to keep telling to get out of the fuckin way, to think we let Lavia go and signed that fucker!
