who is the most Bernardo-ish player on the market right now btw?
its quite a unique combination he has, top level technician, brutal workrate, able to play in multiple positions, can set up goals, can score a few too, good in counters, good in possession, not injury prone, plus understands and can deliver whatever high level instruction are set out by Pep to him.

but who is similar to him we could potentially bring in if we would want to do like for like?
and why would we be charged 120m for for that player lol when rumours about selling him for 60ish ...

hard part is we are not really looking wingers but more like all around midfielders which is brutally rare. he played fullback and false 9 too in his time under pep. :)
I struggle to even name a few players any similar to him.

Gnabry, Coman etc dont even come close to him.

Probably Barella at Inter Milan. Regardless of Bernardo staying he would be a great signing.

Exactly. Never mind inviting them to make a ‘proper offer’ so the CEO’s can sit down and talk, what we should be saying is “Sorry, he ain’t leaving this summer, so take your begging bowl and your carefully orchestrated media campaign, shove ‘em up your arse and fuck off while you’re doing it, you Creme Catalana eating cnuts……”
Quite so.

Its all talk with these cunts. Have they ever actually submitted an offer for him? If they finally do, I expect it will be 50m and we tell them to do one

The will he stay or won't he stay is a pain in the arse, a great player and fits in with the no nonsene attitude of a manc, almost one of us the way he see it.taking no shit of anyone. Will be a pisser if he genuinely wants to go, would be good to know one way or the other.

Pedri but not available

My feeling is that Bernado out still seems possible but City would need other things like Wirtz and Kimmimch to line up in order to take the sort of deal Barca seem capable of. The only other possibility is them sending us Gavi.

Still think Mendes is likely to pull the bait and switch on Barca and pull out Felix at the last minute. He's certainly got an interest in getting them to discuss and plan financials for a player in that position.

Still. Mbappe could change a lot of things, and it kinda looks to me like PSG expect him to move.

Now the season is about to start all transfers out should now been stopped and the squad settled down for the foreseeable. If other teams are daft enough to let players leave at this stage more fool them
Then they should revert back to the transfer window closing with the start of the season, as well as abolishing the January window.
Both terrible ideas

I think clubs that knowingly turn a players head although they cant afford the cost of said player should be fined.
maybe that would stop this.
All it does is make a player unhappy should they then have to stay, and then has an adverse affect on the player, the squad and the club.
Its like a double whammy for us.
