Just catching up with this thread and it seems to me we have an ever increasing number of members on here who insist on believing the shite peddled by so called journalists and twitter wankers. Why can people readily accept what is said in the click bait fraternity instead of trusting what the club are doing behind the scenes. We have around 10 years of unrelenting success which has no signs of coming to an end anytime soon, HAVE FAITH in what the club is doing and dont get you knickers in a twist over some shit, unfounded rumours. If these things do happen it will be for a good reason
They’re still working out at what value Bernardo can be sold at without calling for Tkixi to resign.

By page 1000, we might have a consensus.

Have you heard any comments from Bernie, whining ??
Reminds me of the joke about a monk. He joins a monastery where they take a vow of silence apart from one minute every 10 years.

At the 10-year mark the Abbot asks what he’d like to say. “Well, the porridge is a bit cold”, was the reply.

10 years later, same drill. “It’s still only tepid”.

After another 10 years: “It’s a bit better but still not piping hot”.

”FFS”, says the abbot. “You’ve been hear 30 years and done fcuk all but complain!”

It simply depends on how they do on the pitch, once a huge club gets momentum it takes some stopping, and the cash comes rolling in.

Laporta has taken a calculated gamble, success on the pitch.

And depending on what you call success, it's pretty much guaranteed that they'll be in the CL consistently and probably at least in the QFs. And that they'll be able to fight Real for La Liga. They were 2nd, 13pts off Real last season despite being dross. It's not a huge gap to recover. The money will keep flowing in the short term, and whilst it looks like they've sacrificed significant future revenues, the way the world is there's no guarantee that money in football keeps growing the way it has. I'd expect it to, but cash in the bank now is no bad thing. They'll continue to find new ways of sponsorship to generate revenues. La Liga need Barcelona and they'll find a way mutually to enable them to register players and compete. Without Barcelona interest in La Liga falls off a cliff. It's a two and a half team league. Only 9 teams have ever won it in the 93 years it has been going. If you think how monopolised the PL has been - rags, dippers, arsenal, chelsea, blackburn, leicester and our good selves - that's still 7 teams in the 30 years where through FFP rules they've tried to stifle competition.
