i think pep was trying new things today... with a double pivot of kova and rodri. and then alvarez and haaland... which resulted in jack becoming isolated.

Maybe. I struggled to see much new tactics today to be honest. All seemed a bit unplanned. I’d love to see Jack central for a bit

We need to hit Erling more. Need a creative spark but wtf do I know. Someone has to pick up KDB duty for the games he will miss. I don’t know if that someone is already here or not. Liked the look of that Spanish kid ( Molneiro?) or the Japanese guy not Mittoma that chap from Sociedad? Wirtz is my dream but I guess too late for this season.

Seems wasted out wide at times. Jack running into the space kova had today would have resulted in chaos for Arsenal.

People might think we are spoiled after what the club has achieved but we still have to try to be the best this season all over again. The lack of creativity is a big factor in why we are not winning games more comfortably.


Not a criticism but only an observation. Play is stifled at present. Haaland not getting into the game is a waste of the big man.

We need Florian Wirtz, simple as that. Ideal player for us and ideal age and talent level to receive the baton from KDB when the time comes.

I think next summer would be the one for him.

I am willing to give him a chance. Someone said on here he needs to settle down off field. Maybe this is the season he grows up a bit and shows us what he can do. No real reason to push him out the door with the small squad we have unless he is part of a deal.

Playing Foden and/or Kev ahead of Alvarez will soon sort that.

Kovacic will be different as he will be running forward with the ball in tight areas looking for a 1-2 on the edge of the box which will get the opposition pulled out instead of being camped in the box.
