Lucas Paqueta investigated by FA for alleged betting breaches

BBC says that West Ham paid £36.5m for him, so where did this £51m figure come from? If that's the case, then £70m seems like a figure they might accept.

But the facts are this. Before no question Phil was better than Saka but since then, saka has gone on to become a regular RW at a top side and is playing very well. Saka is an excellent RW and for me is a player you’d swipe at any chance. Sure Foden is probably more talented but Saka has begun to kick on career wise. Foden needs to have consistency and become a regular fixture now.
Oh do fuck off. Foden is one of the most talented players in Europe. Saka, as good as he is isn’t fit to lace his boots.

Euro’s V’s Sterling people… That’s not a court case by the way, it’s the media doing their bit to inflate the fees. All the prices we are seeing for potential signings are in € not £! There’s a difference there, the quoted €90m for Paquet is £77.5m as of right now. Rumour is we have offered €80m so £68.9m, those are not too crazy of a number… in fairness though, Arsenal paid €125m for Rice ;)

It reminds me of how there was even a discussion about Mount Vs Foden a couple of years ago.

I really rate Saka and I'd love to have him at City but it's astonishing how some people still don't realise what we have with Foden.

He is.
No biasism on my part but once he settled in the Prem (took him a few months) he stood out and run the show some games and our European run.
I prey it doesn't happen - but if he went City you'd realise.
You're a West Ham fan, no matter how you dress it up you are biased.

Could we interest West ham in Philips and Laporte, as part of the deal? I think Moyes has expressed interest in Philips before? He will get good game time to keep his international career going, and would be a good fit at WH.
Or even Palmer included with a buy back/sell on clause?

I don’t think City are willing to pay 80-85 for him but it’s interesting that JWP is suddenly going to West Ham after they didn’t want to pay for him

The lads probably forgotten basics playing next to Soucek and getting yelled at by Moyes, should automatically mean a cut price

You might interest WHU on Laporte, but you certainly won’t interest the most crucial part of the deal.

Did I say Saka is more talented? I said the opposite actually. Right now Saka is putting up more consistency for his club than phil. But before that a few seasons ago, in terms of talent AND club performances Foden was better.

That’s the Paqueta replacement

Transfermarkt value him at £39 million which is only £1 million less than WHFC bid for Gallagher who is Opta’s most similar player.

Only a guide but £40 million seems reasonable. £85 million seems laughable….for that money we could get a better player from outside the PL. The PL is the problem.

I don’t think he’d get anywhere near our starting 11 so the money being discussed seems mental. I wasn’t Mahrez’ biggest fan but this guy would be a huge downgrade imho.
Foden will be the RW more likely
